If he was on I-15 in any state but Montana, the speed limit is 75mph which is 122kph. If the permits do not restrict speed, and most do not, he was just fine. You did fine by giving extra room. I run OD and getting ready to get a 14'6" wide now. You can only run day light. Weather can break the bank if delayed by snow. I sat for 3 days and broke even for one snow storm.

actually every and all oversize permit calls for 10 mph under the posted speed limit now im not one to argue lol cause I have broke the speed limit with wide loads but thats the law

@nchayfarmer actually you dont know what you are talking about relating to speed.only about 6 states require a reduced speed for permit loads. a few more do if the weight is really excessive beyond legal limits.
