Oh, the Yip-Yips were on there as well.

  • Wow! would u look at that! Floyd Fluter Tooter who was the fouce of the 23rd Season premire was #39!

  • I guess this is what people did before Oprah raised the bar a little higher.

I love how when a Muppets is being pompous and self-important, he rocks their heads back and forth slightly and (optional) puts one hand to his chest.

  • MacLeaper beat me too it somewhat but, was it me or did about three different "Oscar the Grouches" pass by the camera as the studio audience was being led in?

  • does anybody have any of the "here is your life" clips that they will b willing 2 upload please??

  • Yeah, there were a lot of grouches being let in for lunch.

  • I remember this one well- looks like Guy Smiley had a lot of grouches and Honkers in the audience that day- Did Oscar slip by in that crowd? And towards the end- it looks like there could have been a prototype Baby Bear! Cool Guy Smiley clip! (And one of his last, I do believe)

  • A True Jim Henson Classic ;) The Waiter sounds like Lew Zeland from The Muppet Show. "I throw the fish away, and they come back to me."

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Poor Guy Smiley, he take his entire studio audience to lunch, but the manager says there is only a table for 39 people instead of 40.

  • Yeah, I feel kind of bad for him too. But then again, why on Earth were they all expecting to be at one table? They could have just taken seats at several different tables. I'll bet the grouches would have liked to dine by themselves, and maybe the Honkers and Martians could have shared a table, Chip and Dip could eat with the wolf, and so on. Plus, the dish and the spoon may want a table for two (if they have some sort of relationship).

  • @Garrettk41 That would have been a great idea. I guess maybe Pierre didn't want to take up so many tables since other people have made reservations or because he probably didn't want it to be a very long wait for another customers especially since having 39 audience members is a lot and they all have to wait until everyone finishes lunch so the check can be given to Guy Smiley. Or, maybe Guy Smiley could have asked to pull up a chair from another table to sit with his audience.

  • @afriendofbean I Guess You're Right

  • Yes, I felt bad for Guy Smiley too. Maybe Guy Smiley should have asked the manager if maybe he could pull up a chair from a different table and then he would have been able to sit with his audience.

  • when did this come out? It looks like it was in the later years.

  • This came out in 1989.

  • This really brings me back

  • is that the 40 dots music?

  • Pierre was Jerry Nelson cause he sounded a lot like Lew Zeeland from The Muppet Show.

  • Whoa, I like to see a customer number 39.

  • I'll post this one up too.
