  • You are funny, and thanks for standing up for lazy asses everywhere. Those douchebags with ambition and drive think they own the world.

  • Yankee that's my exact setup as well love the size of the Sig P238 and also really like the N82 tuckable holster ... Nate is awesome I called him before I ordered it and he answered all my questions American made !!! Enjoy the vids keep up the good work & ps... I know what you mean about sending two boys to college and trying to keep a gun habit lol

  • You REALLY need to teach your son how to play D&D!

  • Kimbers have great ads, but horrible customer service. If it jams a lot, they won't service it until 500 rounds have been put through it. 500 rounds of .45 ACP is expensive, so that should be done at the factory. They also charge you for shipping and are unhelpful. Have lots of extra money if you want a kimber.

  • I guess I missed something. Are you carrying both guns all the time or one or the other? Nice magic wand you made for your son, and nice you realized, even after all that work on the first one, that is was okay for him to give it away to make someone else happy. You have taught him well.

  • I bought a P238 a month ago and absolutely love it. I replaced my Kel-Tec P-3AT .380 with the P238 as an every day carry (even though I don't always carry every day). Would like to carry my full size S&W 1911 E-Series, but it is too big to easily conceal. I can't imagine even a Kimber Ultra, with the 3" barrel, being easy to conceal in anything but a winter jacket or rap artist attire with the baggy pants and 5XL shirt. Anyway, another nice video!!

  • I also agree that the guns you carry should be the same battery of arms. I carry the sig P238 and also have the new sig Scorpion Carry 1911. I was carrying my Glock 26 and 17 before this. I tend to switch from time to time, but like carrying the same types.

  • You could make it a habit to always cock the hammer and fire single action on your first shot. Then the revolver and auto-loader would be the same manual of arms. Just carry the pistol with a round in the chamber and the hammer down.

    IMO

  • Yep, training. Enjoy your drills. I did change from 1911 to glock, and quickly forgot thumb sweep. 709 drill... did not go boom with a trigger pull. Now it is thumb sweep every time even with the revolvers, I cannot have it not fire.

Dragons are cool, but I don't understand the whole magic thing.

As far as your zebra wood grips. Black boots and tan bug out bag go with everything, except red. Chief says black go-go boots go with everything, I don't agree.

  • Your son's EDC choice seems solid, but it the dragons eye a good enough in terms of stopping power. If the troll is behind glass will he trust it to bust throw it and neutralize the threat. Me personally, I'll stick with a mini-skull due to its proven track record and time of service.

We all know this is a hot button issue that is only rivaled by the .45 ACP vs 9mm debate. Thanks for your video on this, and oh yeah your EDC too.

  • im sure you've been asked before or talked about it before, but if you did carry a conceal carry a 1911 which holster would you prefer?

  • @thechrisg9110 Been using a soteria custom lather.

  • Nice video. Keep ALL of them and tell your son to work his way thru college, it won't kill him. Getting rid of that Colt might kill you my friend. I hate hearing about old geezers dropping dead from broken hearts. Thats why I have 13 handguns and I don't even want to start counting rifles for fear my wife might read this. (Don't want to have to replace her)

  • I really enjoy watching your vids man! Nice comic relief on everyday stuff. I have two boys as well. How do you store your EDC gun at night? do you also have a primary house gun? how is that stored? Sorry if you already answered this.. i always like to know how other Dads out there store their guns.

  • What holster is that? I carry the p238 every day and my uncle mikes holster is poo

  • @therats2270 I carry in a N82 Tactical holster

  • @TheYankeeMarshal lmfao at the "i am EXTREMELY lazy" you remind me so much of myself

  • Moving from your stainless steel revolver to a steel Pistol is the first step toward carrying a Glock. One day you will wake up and realize times have changed in your life and that you now carry a Glock. It is a similar feeling to waking up and realizing your President's middle name is Hussein.

  • Maybe I'm about to drop a brick here but why no Glock? Lightweight, high capacity and easy to carry.

  • @bfgguns Glocks are nice, reliable weapons...but they are also a bit brickish as far as concealed carry is concerned.

  • I agree, in my opinion, DAO auto or revolver...............kahr PM9 or Glock 26/27...........point and its go time.....also if u get one shot off to calm situation, u have to remeber to engage safety........just my $.02

  • I'm currently carrying a P239 w/ xs sights chambered in .357 sig. Might have to try the 238, but I'm a bit nervous to buy one.

  • @MegaGevehr Why nervous? I promise no one here will make fun of your tiny gun. :)

  • @TheYankeeMarshal lol

I dunno, I've just always shot sub-sub-compacts very poorly. The Sig P239 is about as small as I can go and still shoot up to my standards. I wish there was a range in Cali that rented out P238s so that way I could see how I'd fare.

  • @MegaGevehr I find the P238 to be a very easy shooter. Especially one handed.

  • Best carry gun = Bersa Thunder 9 or 40. Small all metal DA/SA. Unbelievably reliable and battle proven for years under the Argentine police force.

  • thats a great looking wand.

  • Maybe a Glock 36 and a magic wand of your own? I'm also lazy so I'm curious what you'll pick.

  • i also carry a 238 in a N82 holster love em both

  • @TheKatosmith They are a pretty sweet combination.

  • I wouldnt carry the sig or a 1911. I hate the safety and a cocked and locked hammer. go for your DAO glock or Kahr

  • @alenworn How are they unsafe?

  • I find myself being lazy as hell as well. I can trow my lcp in my pajamas or scrub pants yes I bum alot and it makes it easy to carry a gun at all times.

  • I also have the lazy carry been on the 380 edc for awhile, just carried my 1911 5in all weekend was not to bad ,big difference for sure

  • Consider a compact 9 mm like Ruger SR9c or Glock 26 or 19. More stopping power than a 380 and easier and lighter than a 1911 for carry.

  • I carried my Colt Officer's model every day for 30 years untill I bought my P238 because it's hot here in Florida. I carry Condition one at all times the way Col. Cooper taught me in '86 at Gunsite. Carrying a pistol without a round in the chamber is like wearing a rubber with a hole in it. When seconds count i'm not going to be taking the time to rack the slide back. And I like dragons as well! =D

  • wow that new wand is really cool! i like it better than the last one

  • @SonsOfLiberty65 Thanks. So does he.

  • lol LAG thats good

  • I agree completely - keep the styles the same, easier training. Besides, retire that BEAUTIFUL Colt. I mean that thing is AWESOME!

  • Just push your dress down and carry the damn 1911!

On a serious side note... The N82 Tactical is the most comfortable holster I have ever used. Love you.

  • I need a wand lolol, that 1911 Colt is sweet!

  • Recently, my EDC has become to me, more difficlut to solve than the Gordian Knot. Age definitely has something to do about, plus I'm tired of having to dress around the gun or look a sloppy w/an oversized shirt. I'm leaning towards the J frame/pocket carry as a solution. Have you considered that as well?

  • @TheGunfighter45acp I absolutely cannot stand pocket carry. I do not even like my keys in my pocket.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal haha, i am the same way. I use a money clip for credit cards and cash instead of a thick wallet, and wear my keys on a lanyard around my neck. I dont like anything in my pockets for some reason.

  • @TheGunfighter45acp i have always worn an oversized shirt even before wisconsin got concealed carry. I think oversized shirts have been in fashion for several years now, so i would not worry about looking sloppy.

  • really nice holster. what kind is it if you don't mind my asking?

  • @bigdollars99 N82 Tactical

  • commander or officer size 1911 man.

  • I am with you.. wife has the p238 rainbow , mine is the HD..enjoy

  • Totally agree with the LAG

Sometimes you just want quick n easy

    No muss no fuss

What do you think about shoulder holsters

  • @satchboogyfan I discuss them in my alternative carry methods video. They are a little hard to access and they make my neck hurt.

  • I cant decide between this sig and the sig p232 for my edc.

  • @rhddrifter86 I like my SIG P232, but it is a bit big for a .380 pistol. I would say get the P238.

  • Something to think about, my everyday carry is a Kimber CDP Custom which is a 1911 style gun. I noticed early on that my seat belt or other things would disengage my manual safety safety which made me nervous. After some research I found out that I could put my extra round in the chamber then pull the trigger and with my thumb ease the hammer down so not to fire the round. Then I could /or not engage the manual safety, thus if I had to pull the gun I just pull the hammer back and fire much like

  • I love my P238! Ive always wanted to try one of those N8 squared holsters with it! How do you like the gun and the holster? Thanks again and love the channel!

  • @merrylt I love both.

  • the sig p238 is a great gun....i've done some range vids with it & it'll do everything the big boys will do. peace out.

  • OK, I'm a hardcore revolver guy, but I vote for transgendering the Colt to a Safe Queen. Looks like Colt will never make another revolver. FWIF my SAG is a Ruger LCR.

  • @Franklin99D There may be a typo here, FWIF should be FWIW, or FWTF. It's been awhile since I've replied to my own post.

  • I ran my kimber 500 rounds until it ran flawless. My problems end up being there magazines

  • The craftmanship on those wands are excellent. Have you thought about selling them?

  • @tacticalkimchi Heck no. I have to sand my fingers to the bone to make one. My hands still hurt from the last one.

  • EDC question. Do you coordinate your shoes and belt to the grips or the gun finish to your watch and belt buckle or both?

  • Man leave your trademark subliminal messages on the screen a little longer...we are not speed readers...watch your own videos and read them outloud...bet you can't keep up.

  • It's the year of the dragon in 2012 (Chinese Zodiac). Just a little random tidbit.

  • Send your kids to the Marines and let them pay for their college.

  • Interesting idea. The P238 is my SAG (skinny ass gun) and is about all I can carry in the Texas summers. Now that the cooler weather is finally here...maybe a commander or officer 1911 would be the right choice. I only have full sized 1911s...any reliability issues with the smaller ones?

  • @scooter17568 I have never had an issue with a single commander or smaller 1911...and I have owned several. I did have issue with a full sized Colt once, but it was just a fluke lemon gun.

  • This was a funny vid! Everyone needs a LAG!

  • @MrCreativeMoney This is true, I find myself throwing my .380 in my pocket almost more often than taking the time to put on a proper holster and carry a full size gun.

  • is the sleeve while showing your guns your jammie sleeve?

  • Does the wond come with a safety? They may need to train with that as well. You may get your sons friends parents calling you up to change their kids back from a frog or something.

  • @enriquesonora1500 The wand is DAO.

  • I picked up a GP100 for some winter carry. I did enjoy the P238, but had to let it go for something else. This self-limited quantity thing is getting old.

  • The colt officer acp is getting harder to find in that condition too. Wish Colt would make a true officer size pistol again.

  • Not sure that I agree with your carry ideas, but I love you kid humor. It only proves that you are really found of your family and friends. I have been carring for 51 years now and still affraid of single action in battery one. Safety or no safety, although I feel comfy with the striker system. This old timer loves Glocks, Sigs and any revolver for concealed carry! :)

  • your a showoff.........only big shots carry Kimbers,Colt wheelguns........That being said Colt reissued the Pocket-lite (what a 238 is a copy of u know) pretty neat if your a 1911 guy (im not) I CCW a BG380,very light and reliable as well as the a recent slim 9MM Im breaking in.......anyways nice stuff as always ,try not to need any of them! {Peace

  • Love the LAG and FAG acronyms...I completely understand your thinking! There's a lot of times that I wind up just sticking my Keltec P3AT in my pocket rather than holstering up my Kahr or Glock.

  • Cool vid, just make sure you always keep your fag gun on you.lol

  • Too many choices... Pick one, practice with it, wear it. Not very difficult, now is it? You got me dizzy, How did you migrate to talking about the wand? Now go buy new glasses for your son...lol

  • U should probably change your outfit man. Outrageous filth.

  • Suck up! Lol. Good to see a father who loves his kids enough to take time to make something for them. Most dads ive met wouldnt have

    Great work dad.

  • I missed out in your contest, but i really need to get me a holster for my brand new p238. I love ur grips my hd came with the black g10 grips notice urs, did they come like that or did u buy them? Love the gun love clip keep up the good vids.

  • we have the same LAG/FAG gun for the exact same reason!!!! I find i wear a lot of basketball shorts or sweat pants and my 1911 is impossible to carry with those waist bands but so easy to just throw my sig into my pocket. Thats really cool of your son to give the wand to his friend. That has to make you proud. I like the second wand better. I m going to have to make one now for my son! Great stuff!

  • The P238 is a fantastic little shooter!

  • Beautiful grips on the wand LOL.

  • what are your thoughts on bobtail 1911's? feel free to make a video if you dont want to type out a comment you lazy bum. lol

  • @chaos311clarity Making a video is hard...I will just slowly type a response. I have owned a few bobtails, and I love the look, but I have noticed no difference in handling or ease of carry.

  • You get another great dad award! :)

  • Beautiful grips on the officer model. More info please. Aloha, J.

  • @TheHomeDefender Those are slim fit grips from thefinergrain dot kom.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal Sarge's grips. I'm guessing ambroyna burl?

  • @TheHomeDefender Yup, best grips i have ever bought.

  • The real question is which one works better with Carry Condition Tactical Butterscotch?

  • @ZippyGaloo The 1911 is easier to assemble quickly.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal I'm going to commit 1911 heresy here concerning my P238 carry

condition(noted: agree, the P238 is not really a 1911). I carry mine in condition three with the hammer

    cocked, safety off, chamber empty.

The P238's slide is extremely quick and easy to rack. The act and sound of racking the slide is in itself a deterrent: most all of your proverbial 360 pound meth freaks will turn tail and run. I'll take my chances with the ones that don't.

  • @BoboKasaar Since the P238 can be quickly and easily chambered with the safety still on I am betting many people will carry it that way.

  • I carry the Sig 238 at times. I killed a huge beaver with it...........or thought I had till I saw you :)

  • I asked my audiologist if she recommended any particular type of hearing protection (plugs vs. earmuffs). She said "the kind you will actually wear". I guess the same thing goes with an EDC. If your EDC is at home (or in the safe) it isn't doing you much good is it? btw, I like the P238 too. what kind of rig do you carry the 1911 in?

  • @wayneuber N82 Tactical holster.

  • So in summation, you are going to be carrying a smaller gun, therefore you will be using a bigger gun

  • I may be wrong on this, but I've heard rumblings about a Sig making a 9mm version of the p238. That might be something that makes sense as a "full-size" carry if they size it up for the caliber.

  • @squee116 I have heard that too, and hope it is true.

  • Always funny! :)

  • Was it you that mention that your dad killed a Black Bear with a .380? If so what pistol or gun did he use to launch that short 9MM? Doesn't the safety on the P.238 click off opposite way of the full size Colt 1911? How much does the Colt 1911 weigh?

  • @ross512009 It was my uncle. I do not remember what the gun was...it was just some old, cheap, blued thing. Larger import thing. The safeties switch off the same. I do not concern myself with weight much. Weight is the least important factor to me. Size is way more important.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal The reason I ask about the gun using .380 to kill a black bear is that longer barrels create faster velocities with the bullets. I heard someone argued that a 3 inch barrel .45ACP is no better than a 9MM with a 5 inch barrel due to the slow .45 bullet not going fast enogh; so I wondered out of a little Seecamp how much stopping power a .380 can muster.

  • Thx for the holster info....thx for the video....P

  • Very nice marshall. Thanks for sharing.

  • Have you checked out the Ruger LCR yet? .357 Mag is quite a handful, but shoots .38 +P nicely.

  • @kosmocookieduster I keep looking at it, but never find myself pulling trigger so to speak. I feel it is only a matter of time. I want to see the new Taurus versions first.

  • nice hat

  • WHO MAKES THOSE TWO HOLSTERS YOU SHOWED....THEY LOOK GOOD...THX..P

  • @pablojak They are N82 Tactical holsters. I have reviews of them on my channel. Amazing holsters.

  • when talking about EDC...I think you should carry the biggest caliber of gun you can carry comfortably everyday. If it is your P238 then so be it..if it is a .45 then so be it as well. different strokes for different folks. I too prefer wheel guns. I will either carry a Smith and Wesson bodyguard in .38+p or a Ruger Sp101 in .357 they work well for me. you have to find what works well for you.

  • Great vid my friend I wish I could carry but I live in Illinois.. Your son is a great kid thinking about others rather than himself that's awesome.. And for your carry try that sig p229 it looks awesome.. God bless

  • Ah Maaaaan! All the while I thought you were leading up to a new excuse to buy yet another gun! You know like the whole camping thing! ;-). Good choice with the 1911 though. I too carried one for a longtime. Now I'm enjoying my Colt Lawman and light weight agent for winter carry!

  • Don't take this the wrong way but I think you think about guns to an unhealthy level.

  • @BulldogsRule12 How could I take that wrong?

  • all right, first view! YEA!!
