You guys need to calm down. The gun handling wasn't the best, but you can tell the shooter is still new to shooting. He did use trigger discipline, and didn't point it at anyone, at least. As for his grouping...it definitely needs work, but if that target was a man, he'd be shot up. And not everybody is a "marksman". Don't act like you haven't ever seen similar groupings from experienced shooters before.

I don't think he was really giving a damn about accuracy but more on shooting this vid. I see people load guns like that all the time. Look at the video - the gun is in a safe direction and the shooter is careful to keep his trigger well outside the trigger guard. I would trust this shooter a damn sight more than some of the commentators but then I'm a Brit (ex-military).

It's common knowledge that the way you load a +1 in the chamber is exactly how he did it; nothing wrong there. He put the gun down, so what. Is a child going to pick it up? You aren't supposed to manually drop a round in the chamber as that can damage the gun and create feeding problems. Do the research.
@retthok Couple things. He was waving a gun around with a round in the chamber, yes, his finger was off the trigger and it's a glock, etc. But it is still an unsafe practice to do that.
Also, the only possible damage (if that) that can come from manually (IE, dropping a round in the chamber) feeding the gun is a worn extractor, which really shouldn't be an issue if you use brass cased ammo. It won't create feeding problems unless you do this like 5000 times....
Actually, pretty good shooting for the speed he was shooting at. But he pointed the gun right at the camera at the beginning, although it was obviously not loaded, a gun should always be handled as if it WERE loaded. @RoyalAlba1--NOPE, I have a glock 22(40 cal)bought a lone wolf conversion to 357 sig. Drops in with NO mods and shoots without a problem. 357sig fits and feeds from my original G22 mags.
Now basically speaking
G22 -converts to- G31 (both full size models). You can only convert to a similar size gun, so
compact G23 to G32 OR sub G27 to G33
And barrels are sold to convert either way 40 to .357 or .357 to 40. Lone Wolf is the cheapist, but is recommended by 9 out of 10 internet warriors.

I understand for tactical purposes it might make sense to have an extra round but he's at a range. I also understand nobody was injured during this video but he does a few things that increase the chance of an accident.

9MM is same as a .357sig almost same diameter. The .357sig is designed to have almost same ballistics as .357mag, just shorter overall length to fit in an auto pistol. It's actually a necked down .40 S&W round.
lightningwrench, you're the closest to getting it right. The so-called .357 SIG uses the same bullets as 9mm Luger--they're all about 9.03mm or 0.356" in diameter. The cartridge case is indeed a necked-down .40 S&W, slightly modified in other ways as well. The guys at SIG only called it ".357" (a marketing term) because it approximates common factory-loaded .357 Magnum power levels--that's all....
....357 Magnum is actually directly related to .38 Special, as both use 0.357" diameter bullets. The ".38" merely refers to the 0.38" outer diameter of the cartridge case rather than the bullet for some strange reason (probably has to do with "heeled" bullets being used in the past, I'm guessing). The .357 Magnum/.38 Special bullets are dimensionally similar to 9mm/.357 SIG bullets except that they are very slightly wider. I hope this clears things up.

actually bro, i was in the military for 5 years, we used barreta 9mm's and they were garbage, and im well aware that a .357 sig is not a mag but it has a much higher velocity, a .357 sig is still just as nasty, and a 9mm just isnt a good round that is why the military, and police are switching back to the .45
im active in the marines and i havent heard anything about getting rid of the 9mm and going to 45 acp !!!! one of the main reasons is its not effective aginst body armor but some specialized units use the 45 acp !!! not sayin its a bad round or anything, just havent heard anything about switching !!

Idk man. How I see it is if you wouldn't want it pointed at you, then it's not a weak round. The 9MM has a lot of high points. And yeah, the .357 is smaller than the 9MM like you said, the .357 just has excellent penetration.
@draper73 well the 9mm compared to other calibers is somewhat weak, although its all about bullet placement, if you are good with it its no problem, but the 45 is a little bit more forgiving if you are off a little, plus id prefer a heavy bullet, lighter bullets lose velocity alot quicker than heavier ones do
a JHP will do some decent penetration, but a .357 sig is a smaller less powerful version of a .357 mag, basically they made it smaller/less powder in order to make it able to shoot in a semi auto pistol
the .357 sig and the .40 have almost no difference in size or length, that is why you can change barrels in the Glock 19 and have either choice in one pistol. If the casings were much different, you would have to have two different pistols.
So much for memory...I know that the 19 is chambered for the 9mm, I own one. I was under the impression that with a barrel exchange and a differrent mag they would shoot .357 sig. I admit I might be confused with the ones chambered in .40 s&w.
.357 sig is a hyped version of the 9 x19mm. It has a .40 s&w case necked to a short .357 bullet. It's ballistics are weak compared to the venerable .357 magnum chambered in the revolver platform. Yes, it is a small caliber.

@RoyalAlba1--NOPE, I have a glock 22(40 cal)bought a lone wolf conversion to 357 sig. Drops in with NO mods and shoots without a problem. 357sig fits and feeds from my original G22 mags.
Now basically speaking
G22 -converts to- G31 (both full size models). You can only convert to a similar size gun, so
compact G23 to G32 OR sub G27 to G33
And barrels are sold to convert either way 40 to .357 or .357 to 40. Lone Wolf is the cheapist, but is recommended by 9 out of 10 internet warriors.

@mikematij2 It's never a good idea to put a loaded gun down. There really is no point for him to do this. I understand for tactical purposes it might make sense to have an extra round but he's at a range. I also understand nobody was injured during this video but he does a few things that increase the chance of an accident.

Glock: Nice, but 1911s are nicer.
357 SIG: Hot, but 45 ACP +P is hotter.
.357 SIG from G31 = 125gr at 1425 fps = 564 ft-lbs
.45 +P from 1911 = 185gr at 1150 fps = 543 ft-lbs
Almost the same energy, and .45 has a heck of a lot bigger bullet, before and after expansion!
But 357 SIG is NICE.

9MM is same as a .357sig almost same diameter. The .357sig is designed to have almost same ballistics as .357mag, just shorter overall length to fit in an auto pistol. It's actually a necked down .40 S&W round.

lightningwrench, you're the closest to getting it right. The so-called .357 SIG uses the same bullets as 9mm Luger--they're all about 9.03mm or 0.356" in diameter. The cartridge case is indeed a necked-down .40 S&W, slightly modified in other ways as well. The guys at SIG only called it ".357" (a marketing term) because it approximates common factory-loaded .357 Magnum power levels--that's all....

....357 Magnum is actually directly related to .38 Special, as both use 0.357" diameter bullets. The ".38" merely refers to the 0.38" outer diameter of the cartridge case rather than the bullet for some strange reason (probably has to do with "heeled" bullets being used in the past, I'm guessing). The .357 Magnum/.38 Special bullets are dimensionally similar to 9mm/.357 SIG bullets except that they are very slightly wider. I hope this clears things up.

the .357 sig round is a 9mm projectile. They both actually measure .355 diameter. Just like you said the .357 is hotter and sits on a .40S&W casing. Its the baddest mother on the playground right now.

why do people always act as though the 9mm can't do any damage? If its no good then why does the military use it? Moreover this is a .357 SIG which has a casing size comparable to the 9mm and actually has a smaller bullet (9mm is between a .38 an .40)

actually bro, i was in the military for 5 years, we used barreta 9mm's and they were garbage, and im well aware that a .357 sig is not a mag but it has a much higher velocity, a .357 sig is still just as nasty, and a 9mm just isnt a good round that is why the military, and police are switching back to the .45

im active in the marines and i havent heard anything about getting rid of the 9mm and going to 45 acp !!!! one of the main reasons is its not effective aginst body armor but some specialized units use the 45 acp !!! not sayin its a bad round or anything, just havent heard anything about switching !!

Idk man. How I see it is if you wouldn't want it pointed at you, then it's not a weak round. The 9MM has a lot of high points. And yeah, the .357 is smaller than the 9MM like you said, the .357 just has excellent penetration.

@draper73 well the 9mm compared to other calibers is somewhat weak, although its all about bullet placement, if you are good with it its no problem, but the 45 is a little bit more forgiving if you are off a little, plus id prefer a heavy bullet, lighter bullets lose velocity alot quicker than heavier ones do

a JHP will do some decent penetration, but a .357 sig is a smaller less powerful version of a .357 mag, basically they made it smaller/less powder in order to make it able to shoot in a semi auto pistol

the .357 sig and the .40 have almost no difference in size or length, that is why you can change barrels in the Glock 19 and have either choice in one pistol. If the casings were much different, you would have to have two different pistols.

.357 sig is a hyped version of the 9 x19mm. It has a .40 s&w case necked to a short .357 bullet. It's ballistics are weak compared to the venerable .357 magnum chambered in the revolver platform. Yes, it is a small caliber.
