The British/Iranian caller is forgetting that the Shah was installed after a CIA/British backed coup that overthrew Iran's only truly democratically elected (and popular) government in the 1950s.
I don't agree with Galloway's blanket denial that the Iranian election wasn't rigged. The fact is we don't know for sure. The results were announced much sooner than normal even for Iran.
Galloway's wrong about British ppl living outside the UK not being able to vote... they can and do.
Galloway makes an excellent point about the Shah being unelected. That's one the grand contradictions about these Iranian "democracy" supporters - they ironically enough support(ed) the Shah, who was unelected, ruthless and worse of all - a puppet.
MESSAGE TO MR. MOUSAVI -- Part Two: ..when they must all be united. You should have conceded after election was over, under the pretext of the necessity to compromise at this critical juncture in Irans history; in order to make sure that Iranians stayed united so that the matter of nuclear issue get resolved peacefully and without Iranians having to be humiliated and forced to hugely compromise under pressure, or face devastating sanctions, economic blockade and war. It is still not late!
SIR, Iran faces four major dangers by year end if the nuclear issue is not resolved: (1) further crippling sanctions, (2) economic blockade, (3) war with the US and its allies, and (4) all of the above. All these will have devastating consequences on all Iranians, including those living abroad. Mr. Mosavi, you lost a golden opportunity for not uniting all Iranians by focusing on the imminent danger Iran faces. Instead, you divided Iranians at a time when ...

George Galloway makes me sick.
Standing there high and mighty like the dictator in Iran, and on a channel owned by the Iranian regime. While british diplomates are being detained by your masters in Tehran!
I love the way Galloway is comparing the constitutional monarch system here with the Ayatollah system in the Islamic republic in Iran- as if they are the same thing. Whilst *conveniently* forgetting that the Monarch holds virtually no power in the UK, yet the Ayatollah holds more power than anyone else in Iran. He's an apologist for a brutal regime that now appears nothing more than a 'thugocracy'.
the funny part is that he made it clear he hates the Queen's symbolic position of head of state, yet he has no problem with Iran's supreme leader having dictator-like powers
I know mate. He's a disgrace and an utter hypocrite, I've despised him for years. It's not even about the fact he picks up on some of the hypocrisy sometimes in the west- which in some ways he can be right about. It's the way he 'uses' it to further his morally bankrupt position as an apologist for oppressive regimes around the world, all whilst enjoying the freedoms he enjoys here. I hope that people who do seem to sympathise with him can now really see what he truly is re his defense of Iran.
Not only simple minded but so filled with hate that they'll do whatever they can to smear Galloway. gallowaywatch posts countless videos in an attempt to discredit galloway but if he/she doesn't like comments posted he bans the commenter.
Galloway apologies for nothing in regards to the Iranian regime except that the Irainians have the right to sort their own government out. Galloway maintains that if there is evidence of a rigged election then we have cause for condemnation of the election.

Great clips.
This is a bit off topic, but why use such a dated photo of Galloway?

The announcer lied, CNN never conducted a poll. When someone has to lie to make a point, he has lost his whole argument.

OPEN your eyes man
In 2005 the conservatives really though they could win but by the 1st round it was clear that they will never win
in the 1st round 17 Million voted for a reformist & only 11 million for a conservative yet that number flips by the second round
Only Animals, fools & nut jobs support Ahmadi & I think your a fool

I used to respect you George what happened???
Majority of Iranians are under the age of 35 & Mousavi win's that group by a landslide
Mousavi also wins the women vote
Mousavi is Azari 2nd largest ethnicity in Iran so he wins that by a majority
Yet we are spouse to believe that Ahmadi even won in Mousavi's home town LOL
Look at the numbers 97, 01 vast majority voted for a reformist
please look at the numbers the 2nd round in 2005 was the 1st time they cheated not in 09
