I really liked the AP software/layout. And, I always received good customer service from them. AP was by far my favorite site for about a year. This scandal was a big upset. I will never play AP again now. I can't imagine how anyone could feel confident depositing money there after this.
I disagree with his assertion that "it could happen on PokerStars or FullTilt." I think that obviously AP didn't catch the cheating because their software was not secure enough. The reason bigger rooms get bigger business is because they're safe, reliable, etc. It's just like any market. It's competition, and AP is losing out.

Ultimate bet just went through this(AP affiliate) and Pokerstars are under going the same thing right now, there is an ongoing investigation there right now regarding the same matter, program with hole cards revealed. They have already started compensating players and apparently another big site has an investigation just underway for the same matter also. I was at a mini-camp hosted by Phil Hellmuth and the subject about Absolute poker came up and Phil talked about what happened at UB and AP.

i wouldn't doubt if all poker software had "levels" categorize each player a certain "level" such as house player or noob. It's all a scam. Check PTR for PS and FTP, players sign up, play 16 tables at a time, log 200,000 hands in a month, win at ridiculous win rates then disappear.
Where do they go? Why would you just stop playing if you were winning so much?
Best answer being they don't want to get caught so the name gets changed and people can't track them over bigger samples and prove something is up.

I will agree with Mark on one thing: if the US would stop acting like online poker is evil, and instead legalize and regulate it, then we could all play a bit more at ease. Wouldn't you feel better if your favorite online cardroom's HQ, operations, and legal jurisdictions were right here in the states, rather than Costa Rica, Manilla, or wherever?

I played on Absolute pretty much untill that happened, builded up a 800 § bankrol from 50$ and lost it all on 2 days at this time, absolute says i was not involved but i dont belife em they have put all my trust in onlinepoker within 2 days away, good work hope u and all other poker cheaters die paynfully.

95% of players being losers is a industry statistic, which is data that can be verified over many sites... I.E. Pokestars, 95% of players LOSE their deposits, Fulltilt, 95% of players LOSE their deposits, Absolute, Ongame network, etc etc... It is a common industry statistic.

he's happy the way absolute poker handled it? they'd DENIED it like crazy at first... at second for that matter. they only came clean after there was tons of evidence against them. Anyway, this will continue to happen. Potripper was probably doing this for a while, he just got tired of being smart about the situation (playing slowly and folding often and only winning certain hands for huge pots to take first place) and started playing too many hands, and winning too many hands in a row.

I really liked the AP software/layout. And, I always received good customer service from them. AP was by far my favorite site for about a year. This scandal was a big upset. I will never play AP again now. I can't imagine how anyone could feel confident depositing money there after this.

I disagree with his assertion that "it could happen on PokerStars or FullTilt." I think that obviously AP didn't catch the cheating because their software was not secure enough. The reason bigger rooms get bigger business is because they're safe, reliable, etc. It's just like any market. It's competition, and AP is losing out.
Totally agree with him about 2:30 on REGULATION of online poker. I think it's getting more momentum in congress too.

Ultimate bet just went through this(AP affiliate) and Pokerstars are under going the same thing right now, there is an ongoing investigation there right now regarding the same matter, program with hole cards revealed. They have already started compensating players and apparently another big site has an investigation just underway for the same matter also. I was at a mini-camp hosted by Phil Hellmuth and the subject about Absolute poker came up and Phil talked about what happened at UB and AP.

why would u ever play on absolute poker, one guy is caught think about the couple more who got away with it. Stick to pokerstars guys I have been playing there and stuff seems normal. I mean bad beats are there but thats poker

He seems like a good guy......If you don't think cheating is a huge factor in online or live poker you're ignorant. Ever notice all the uneeded motions by players( even pro's) well thats not random. If they have a partner it all means something. good luck trying to figure it out.. impossible to prove.. see you at the tables..

i got a list of guys that show playing 11 huge turny.and only 1 .and they win it.i am not talking about a sit n go. im talking about a 6 figure payout for first.ive played big turnsys for years on sites.and as all good players know.its all in luck,either they give you the cards or you end up dieing off with QQ to Aj off .guys blasting all there chips in with 23 suited. to aces or kings and pulling through a winner.any poker site that told me there legit is 110% full of dog shit

Potripper scandal represents only the tip of the iceberg, I've played there for a few years and I suspect all the games are rigged and AP is collecting all important prizes from all tourneys with significant buy-ins using the Potripper method. So Potripper is the rule not the exception that proves the rule, they were stealing players money for years as they are probably still doing it right now ...
