  • put on a balance; you'll notice that the steel wool is heavier after it burned.

  • @aceFX1126 chemical reaction with the air?

  • @Reid52 yes, every oxidation (burning, rusting) are reactions with air.

  • Coool! I like!

please somebody send something about the music for me

    thanx

  • where can i buy this : /

  • Steel wool is fucking cool. If you swing it around when its on fire you will get way cooler results.

  • its almost like the game of life

  • Wrap it around the end of a hanger and spin it around real fast.

  • I know! The drivers would be crushed to death! Hooray!

  • That is so werid and wth is with the werid music

  • would you rather hear hannah montana?

  • attack my armies of AA batteries !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is it made from magnesium?

  • no its made from steel wool... because its so thin tho it like turns almost molten and travels along the fibers

  • It works that you short circuit them and like wolfram, it glows. But wolfram can take a heat up to 2000*c makes it so it doesn't melt.

  • it initially is just the battery heating up the fibers, after the initial seed of heat, what you are seeing is the steel fibers oxidizing and releasing more heat which continues the reaction.

    basically, the steel is burning.

  • You can't even spell faggot right....

  • boo boo

  • y para q sirve eso¡?

  • collaboration*

  • Are you trying to say that steel wool is in colloration with the terrorists? I did see it try to make itself explode but it didn't scream ALLLAHHHH!!!!

  • wooooh, lay off the crack buddy.

  • you think i'm smokin too much. Your right i'll stick to meth.

  • your racist and have no sense of humor. also i'm not black. dumbass. your probably some uneducated hick that jerks off to garth brooks. get a life.

  • wait let me get this straight. you associate muslims with terrorists than call him a racist. wow you outdo yourself.

  • I was just joking. Besides I didn't say anything about muslims I was talking about terrorists particularly the ones that attacked the U.S. and we are familiar with. I wasn't throwing the n word around like that guy. Not all Muslims are terrorists.

  • LMFAO

  • ummm they warn u about that on the box right?

  • maybe ur batery was empty

  • very cool.

  • it looks like some sort of slow motion.

  • doesnt ignite just sparks

  • where do u get steel wool?

  • the grocery store or the dollar store

  • Some retard started a fire in my schools woods shop by throwing a battery into the waste basket. rofl it was a big boom and the fumes around it expanded and the barrel imploded a bit.

  • lmao xD

  • you don't need to say that just because your friend told you to.

  • how long did it go on for

  • LMFAO! Man the fumes that comes out of there cant be good lol

  • Oh...god!

  • you have to be high to make this

  • The American PGA have been doing this for years, Tiger woods was the first person to do this at the 1997 Masters. Since then it's become custom for all golfers, an yea your right Titties do rule.

  • We've been doing this for a while in Brazil. If you have space, you can spin it around to get it to flare up. Looks really cool, bet you even cooler on camera.

  • yeah, I've done it. It's hard to keep it burning sometimes but it's awesome!

  • This is how house fires start at Christmas etc, tin foil full of grease, & one 9V battery.

??????? has someone said this already.

  • for some reason lighting shit on fire calms my nervers

  • XD that was funny

  • me too

  • @Animefreak48312 calming music probably has more to do with it than not.

  • @Animefreak48312 You could have a promising career as a pyromaniac :)

  • @Animefreak48312 same here

  • I learned this is boyscouts!

Easy way to start a camp fire.

  • ok man i tryed this but the steel wool just doesnt get going, does anybody know why?

  • Is it copper or iron wool?

  • oh its steel, i think ive figured it out now though. i have to seperate the fibres and then it catches alight quite quickly.

  • ^_^

    Okay.

    Good luck!

  • you have to get the thinest kind

  • yeah so the fibres catch alight easily, but ive done it now and i need somemore cos its all gone!!!

  • lan coluk cocuk izliyor bunu

    hadi yangin cikartsalar nolacak

  • CRACK

  • lmao

  • What is there to explain? Brillo pads(Steel wool), ignition source(battery or lighter).

Once the Brilo starts burning it is hot enough to sustain stself...mostly anyways, if you check out clips called steel wool firewire, you'll see why these are fun. :D

  • Awesome music!

  • can u be more specific, say more about this?

  • Lots of simple, natural stuff we're only now discovering. For more, see DISCLOSURE PROJECT here on YouTube. It's long, but guaranteed to teach you more than you ever wanted to know.

  • humh must try that

  • you can make a bomb with that shit :O

  • wow does that really work?

  • Try fry them with charged 330 Volts capacitor, it lights up brighter. I have used 660 Volts - it lighted up MUCH brighter. 1,200 Volts charge from capacitor is also used, but they go up with much LOUDER bang.

  • Well when i go camping in the near future, i shall bring a 9v battery and brillo pads to start the camp fire.

  • interesting... and i like the music!

  • Lol it looks like all these miniature fireballs having a race ^_^

  • i discovered that at school, that is nice.

  • you would expect it to burn faster

  • Does it work with cottonballs or anything else?

  • That was steel wool not a Brillo pad. Brillo pads have soap on them, will they still light with the soap? I would try, but I am afraid it would stink. LOL! Have you ever put on in the microwave?

  • nice hands

  • this little trick helped win my boy scout troop the klondike derby!!

  • check my steel wool videos out. You will be astounded!!!! try it for your selves outside in a well open area and use only fine steel wool tied to chain with wire. Let it rip!

  • you know this reminds me of my alter boy days...at stations of the cross, while the service is going on, I am in the prep room lighting coals for the incense and the coals do the same type of light show :-)

  • your soundtrack for your videos is so dramatic! Love it!

  • steel wool + 9 volt = fun

  • so fato roda!

  • cool

  • this just screams "try this at home"

  • that is absolutely beautiful...

  • i'm going to go do that t my mom's brillo pad!

  • i wanna try

  • That's awesome. xD

  • It's inspiring to see such wonderful images created from such mundane items.

  • Once again... YEAH!!!

  • You make some interesting little videos. I like them! Keep making more!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  • ive done this, nothing special

  • hope you had good ventilation when doing that

  • hows that smell?

  • i bet that stinks.... :s

  • I've seen it with a 4,5V battery. And as far as i remember its not the voltage but the current (Amp) blowing the fuses.

  • That's true, but misleading. Higher voltage allows the electricity to overcome more resistance, thus allowing a higher amperage, if available, to flow through the paths. So if you have a current source of like 0.1 volts and 20 amps (2 watt), you won't get much if any current to flow through the steel wool, so it won't work, however 10 volt at 0.2 amp (2 watt) likely will be plenty.

  • Thank you for informing me. I've mostly worked on higher amps in film and theatre. And with 300w 12 volt(25 Amp) running down the cable it surely gets a lot warmer than with 300w 230V (1,3Amp) (same cable gauge)

  • That is so cool! Why does that happen?

  • I have a sudden craving for brillo pads and a nine volt battery.
