  • This playing style is so freaking beautiful. And I'm trying to understand how the audio quality on this video is so good…

  • @pinksynth

video was made on Canon S2. It's really good camera.

  • Every note perfectly felt and played............Thank' whatever' for masters of all kinds. They make life a pleasure for us less gifted, ordinary folk!

  • Very nice. I bet even Wolfie would like that! : )

  • why do todays shredders think you need 10 effects and 100db to sound good?

  • @flip12U2 not even shredding. Shredding is playing a bunch of random notes as fast as you can. Theres actual skill and feeling in stanleys music. He is a true musician.

  • @ABMayweather ....meant this should be required listening for some of todays 15 and 16 year old guitarists..no offense

  • @flip12U2 Yeah tell your friends :) I'm 18 and i'm a bassist and guitarist and all the metal shredder guys look up to me people don't know how much skill it takes to play progressive jazz.

  • @ABMayweather That is not the definition of shredding.

  • @flip12U2 Because this is the only way they know how play "well"

  • nice

  • Even autists arent retards and have healthier brains compared to you guys. So it seems like you guys are on your own aye? Sorry Tards better luck next time but this guy is a genius.

  • I am very sorry, I truly am very sorry for you guys (it seems like Rocknrollhoochiekoo and Astrochicken have both taken up spokesperson roles for this particular group of the worlds most retarded dumbfukk club) because Stanley Jordan isnt a retard he is a genius that many modern guitarists have stolen ideas from and in return, have never really acknowledged his contribution to to entire history of guitar playing.

  • @music247addict I agree: there's this whole "new" generation of August Rush-type players that think that they're completely original and groundbreaking and ignore Stanley's 20 years plus of contributing to (& I believe, absolutely mastering) the physical and musical approach of polyphonic and poly-rhythmic playing. A lot of them seem content with bashing on the strings with very nice rhythms, but little musical content other than playing sequences and no sense of improv, which cheapens the art.

  • To the retards trying to claim that Stanley is one. Wow my guitar hero is so good that even retards want to claim him.

  • *looks like a tard* LOL

I'd say his guitar style is one of the few positive aspects of autism.

    Rock on rainman!!

  • @astrochicken I am very sorry, I truly am very sorry for you guys (it seems like Rocknrollhoochiekoo and Astrochicken have both taken up spokesperson roles for this particular group of the worlds most retarded dumbfukk club) because Stanley Jordan isnt a retard he is a genius that many modern guitarists have stolen ideas from and in return, have never really acknowledged his contribution to to entire history of guitar playing.

  • I'm on your side... stanley jordan is a genius.

I still think he displays mannerisms attributed to autism.. and despite looking like a tard whilst playing i think he's fucking brilliant.

  • And what do you look like like when you attempt it? Please post your vid soon, as we all want to know the "correct" expressions.

To me he looks advanced rather than retarded.

  • Wow, fantastic to see this kind of talent

  • That's pretty amazing! Beautiful interpretation and boy what a bitch it must be to play!

  • love to hear him play charlie parker

  • brilliant

  • Toooooo goooooood!!!!!!!!!

  • I would love to know when, and where his next concert is, if any?

  • he is doing a small tour right now...

  • Bravo!

  • GENIUS!!!!! WITHOUT A DOUBT

  • Mozart is ...

  • genio assoluto !

  • S.Jordan improvisation W.A.MOCART

    S.JORDAN GENIUS!!!

  • it is such a big regret that it is a half version.. and it is very clear and clean, it sounds, how did you make this?

have you got the full version :))))

  • Great Video! I got to see him play this one In Mexico City, before the youtube era, nothing like getting to see it again.

    Thanks for the video!

  • Thank you for your comment. I come back to see him a lot of times. He is so brilliant in his love to music

  • i just saw him last night in the city, i stayed for both sets at the iridium, and he played it twice. the second time i cried. it was so beautiful and moving
