Without doubt this is a re-recording by Wanda. In March of 2005 Wanda returned to the studio and re-recorded 24 songs for K-Tel records. This is one of them. K-Tel released the album at the end of March.

You sure this ain't a re-recording? I've usually got got a keen ear for how old recordings are judging by the sound quality and the mixing and this doesn't sound like its from the 50's.

@hopop313 This song is on the fabulous 3 cd set LETS HAVE A PARTY: Girls Gone Rockin' VOL 2 (Vol 1 is great too) and that version is just as clear but faster, and an original track from 1958. I think some studios were more advanced than others because some tracks on these compilations are original but clear as a bell, while others are a bit muddy. I know in the 60's they rerecorded a lot of tracks, but they were never as good as the originals remastered.

I loved Wanda for years - she sang such soft songs full of love and feelings - and one day she invited to her party - and she never kissed a bear or a goon - but she could shake a chicken in the middle of the room - a complete other gal - but I liked it - and I like her today, too - as an old granny - thanks for her songs !
