This movie has made it to my top 50 favorites list, and I'm not really a Will Smith fan. I agree with the comment on the eye transplant, but it makes for a very intense scene - as long as you don't think to much about it.

undoubtedly will smith's best movie! also, for those of you who are trying to understand where the movie gets its name from, its from shakespeare's "the merchant of venice" where creditors demanded their "pound of flesh" no matter how painful the repayment would be to the debtors. the movie makes much more sense when you understand the meaning of the title...absolutely brilliant. how did i not watch this when it came out?

Ben Thomas, "Been Thomas", was an anagram. Will Smith turned off the emotion while Rosario Dawson (much like Thandie Newton can) turned it on. Really I think Rosario Dawson added that touch that made the movie excellent to watch. The ending was sad and triumphant. Redemption sometimes can cost you everything.

Rosario Dawson should be case in more movies like Thandie Newton. Amazing ending. Had to watch it twice to get it all. It was a sad movie. Will Smith did an amazing job turning off the emotions while Rosario Dawson did an amazing job giving you something to believe in. Redemption can cost everything. The ending was awesome.
