@Moseley525 that wasnt a destroy...and the max might have had one or two other things but that rsx type s is not a "basic set up" in any meaning of the word its got almost full bolt ons stock for stock theyre pretty close but for the rsx s to not pull as hard as i thought it would thats pretty sad we need to know more about both vehicles mods lists and vtec is just an excuse for a pathetic engine that doesnt show any power til 5k rpms lol

@pbeilstein That's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard....fact of the matter is the Maxima didn't keep up very well here, whether he was going 100% or not is left to be determined b/c these guys like to run for money. Fact is, this Maxima had more mods than just a cutout, since they run it for money, I highly doubt they are running a stock VQ w/ a cutout for cash. I'm guessing it had an intake, headers, y pipe w/ cutout, at the least.

@yonkersracing i retract the statement i didnt know they run for money so yea u would be right he would be dumb, arrogant, or both to run his car with no mods against a bolt on rsx type s but he didnt keep up very well i agree but he wasnt destroyed is what i was tryin to get across

@pbeilstein na for sure, word on the street is that they were shifting early on that run but you can kind of see how it evens out, the RSX's pull kinda stops in 4th gear a bit...I don't know what the Maxima runs, but if I were to guess it's a low 13s car @ around 104-105mph

@yonkersracing i agree with those mods for that time i had an 04 hemi ram that ran the same times with some of the same kind of mods but does the cut out do anything for it i would think he would lose power if anything

@pbeilstein idk on the Maxima but on my buddies RSX w/ a stock exhaust a cutout made another 5whp, I imagine it would be the same if not more on a VQ

@pbeilstein and this wasn't my RSX but I've run a similar one, these are definitely not all the bolt ons, they are actually pretty simple setups, basic intake, header, exhaust, OEM intake manifold, OEM cams and KPRO tune. Stock clutch, tires, throttle body, no ported anything....setup is very basic and went 13.6 @ 103

ehhh.. rsx did okay.. fully bolted on WITH kpro.. pulling a lightly modded VQ

@itsmemiiiiike it's not fully bolted, it's actually a pretty basic setup, stock clutch, stock tb, stock tires, oem cams....the Max is more than just a cutout, we just don't know what exactly is done.

I bet you this rsx doesn't wanna test a VQ35 swap 4th gen (95-99) 5 speed Nissan Maxima! Them things move! They run 12's with just bolt ons!

@mlpdade and I'd bet you that 95-99 w/ VQ35 swap wouldn't want anything to do with a K24 swapped hatch, they run 12's bone stock, lol.

how the hell was that maxima keeping up so good? my brother has the same maxima and my stock mustang wins by 2 cars from a roll, and im sure this rsx would walk my gt.

@mrdragking13 it doesn't take much to make the VQ move....and I highly doubt this car only has a cutout....for reference, I ran a Maxima just like this one, this car was actually in the vid too but the one I ran had I/H/E and was right next to me the entire time....my RSX is just as fast as this one.
