only things i like about six was some of the characters outifts but no combos same attacks pattern always 7 is way better but 7 also has its down falls like some characters share the same weapons like gan ning & that new guy in wei for got his name dynasty warriors 4 will always be the best one it had everything best combos for everyone also 90% of everyones specials were great & also how each weapon changed in look every 4 levels think it was & had to play omn hard mode to get ultimate weapon

I get how Sanada Yukimura from Samurai Warriors is the main character but Zhao Yun??? He only did one thing amazing in history and thats rescuing a baby. They should make someone like Zhuge Liang or Sun Quan who are important people the main character.

Dynasty warrors six was not impressive at all. I hated how like 5 of the characters had the same exact fighting style and that only few of them had a mosuo mode.it was the worst in the series and i dont get how zhao yun is the idol of them all. he is not even that good compared to other characters + you had no followers at all. LIKE WTF??

freaking biggest downfall in the series yet...

its like dw5 came out later than dw6...less charakters, only freaking 17 got musou mode...whack ass weapon-system, even whacker charakter desings(completly unhistoricle, i mean where the fuck did guan yu get the styling glue to make his hair look like he is vegeta every time before he went to battle? xD), 9 of 10 chars have a spear as weapon, a lot of battles where removed and last but not least why is zhang he so fucking big?! O.o

DW6 actually did a lot of things right. It was pretty as hell, some of the characters actually looked the best they've ever looked in the entire series, and the players had a lot more control (swimming/ladder climbing/horse jumping). But the Renbu system single-handedly fucked it all up to the point where everybody just dismisses 6 as the blacksheep of the family, and that's a real shame. I actually loved quite a few things that 6 brought to the table.

@JapanForSale That is the great summary of DW6 friend... but I ll add some points, do not forget the Cloned warriors, for example Zhang He without Claws, Ling Tong with Halberd, Cao Ren with Spear non-existence of some characters. DW6 special for PS2 was better, but it was still dissapointing. Especially as being a Wei Fan, playing with Xiahou Dun, Dian Wei, Sima Yi was terrible, they were all slow even they were looking great. Moreover it was shame Sun Quan, Ce and the rest have no musuo modes.

@Derinfrekans Yes. Xiahou Dun is the PERFECT example. He is probably the most symbolic character of DW right there behind Zhao Yun. The player probably played him as the first Wei officer in every single new playthrough, and he had a FUCKING SCIMITAR in EVERY game. Changing that was akin to Koei taking a steaming dump on their own IT. As fun as it was smashing little shits to bits with the war club, it just wasn't XHD!

But sadly, XHD's change wasn't even a drop in the bucket in DW6 tbh.

@JapanForSale i think Ma Chao was completely ruined i mean he has been my favourite character through the series and swapping his weapon wasn't very good in my opinion. i loved his spear, i think his looks and playability was best in DW5, but giving him a huge ,stupid and unrealistic sword was a complete waste.

@xboxSeMpLe I gotta agree w/ you there. Ma Chao and Jiang Wei, along w/ Zhang Liao and Guan Yu are all my favorite chars (polearm users, obviously). And giving MC a sword is just... wow... although once again, that still wasn't the worse transgression. I grew to love using him as I did with Gan Ning, like the fking spinning blade of death, on crack! XD So he was still pretty fun in the end. Might I say even MORE fun, due to his increased mobility. But I'm glad he's got his spear back now.

@blazingfiregraff yeah this one is the noly one i have played besides number 4 as well for ps2 hehe i played this at a friends house also bought it for xmas its got hours of gameplay graphics are amazing its a litle bit different story wise from DW4 like characters you know use different weapons and might look different yet it is set in the future from dynasty 4 but yeah i really think its worth the money i got it for xbox 360 and i think 6 is the latest one out if im not mistaked
