Well I got some good news the story dose not end here just the show in one of the Drama CDs of the show, I was able to peace together some of it to figure out that Mokkun dose get his memories back of Mashahiro since it plays some flash backs of him and at the end a scene with babby Mashahiro and Mokkun. Hope this helps with giving people a better conclusion.

did masahiro ask his granfather to erase everyone's memories of him because he was going to sacrifice himself to save gren? .. he didn't want anyone to be sad because of him? but in the end he realized that he didn't want to die yet? and wakana? or whoever saved him. . .revived him sortta? confused!! :S

And i think (don't blame me if i'm wrong), in order to not let anyone suffer anymore, Masahiro asked his grandfather to erase everyone's memories about him. That's why he wasn't at home in the end... i think..
