  • I certainly hope that umpire was not telling him to pick up the bat.

  • jermaine dye is my cousin

  • dont worry... ozzys got his back

  • i was at that game, they brought in luis terrero to play right field

  • vote jermaine dye for AL all star 2009 team

    he deserves it

  • Any posts of his ejection Wednesday night?

  • its not jer boy dye its jer maine dye!! fuck you all go white sox!!!

  • he sux anyways that ball wasnt that bad

  • i hate the white sox, but the ump was grandstanding throwing out dye.

he wasn't arguing balls and strikes, his back was to the umpire. the blue was pissed cause dye left his bat on the plate (thus disrespecting him). tossing him was dickish. unless dye called him a name while his back was turned (which is possible), the umpire was doing too much.

  • tossed him to quik

  • Nope. Argue balls and strikes, you're done right then and there. That's the rule I'm afraid.

  • BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD call

  • Both looked like they were at the knees. They were both though in the exacty same location so to stay with consistency they should both be strikes

  • those calls were right at knee high morons.

your aguring balls anmd stirke. he was thrown out for a reason.

  • bullcrap call

  • SUCK IT DYE

    Great call by the ump

  • ozzie smelled the ejection , cuz just before getting thrown out ozie appeared running to the ump....

that was bellow the knees stupid white assole!

  • he went running to pick up the bat cause he knows fag dye did it wrong

  • wait...did he get thrown out for not picking up his bat when the ump told him to?

  • the worst call lol dye is a beast

  • although the angle is poor, those two were clearly balls

  • JDDDDD. Jermaine for mvp!

  • white sox are the best

  • im no whitesox fan but those were clearly balls

  • acutally it was at kenee and went down it dosent matter where the catchrs catches it. espically aguring over strike and ball you going to get thrown out.

  • no way, the umpire made one bad call after another..the second pitch was lower than the first. Maybe the ump was pist cuz he hasn't gotten laid lately.

  • they were clearly strikes... go A's!

  • and your clearly a dumbass

  • i have to disagree with you on the strike but yes go A's

  • plate guy is chris guccione...triple a fill-in whose only worked the 1,000 games in the big leagues.

  • You have Joe West in the search tags--if you think that plate umpire was Joe West that threw him out, you need to check again. West is much more heavy set than that blue. According to May 21 box scores, the White Sox won against the A's 8-5 and West wasn't even on the crew---GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU START NAMING UMPIRES

  • relax fool... i've already stated that was a mistake.

  • Those were both strikes. Dye was an idiot for not swinging.

  • hehe... two words: trade bait :)

  • those are great strike mechanics, i love how guccione kicks up his leg on strike 3. both were strikes. anyone have the tv coverage with ken harrelson calling those strikes BS like the obstruction call in the cubs game?

  • haha whos better than the sox?? i think the answer is the minnesota twinssss=] happen to catch the double header today?=] haha yea that was sweet... i think that jermaine dye was out ...

  • Thats great since the ball crossed at the bottom of his knees, and in the rule book that is a part of the strike zone, so it was not low as you guys thought it was.

  • And I'm sure he'll stay in triple A

  • those were way to low to be strikes...don't try to be a cool guy and call it a strike

  • there is no offical stirke zone. its a judegement call strike is a strike a ball is a ball

  • Those were both strikes...

  • ok thanks for clearing that up

  • Strike 2 clipped the bottom of the zone from this angle, though the only relevant angle is that of 3 feet behind home plate.

That could not have been Joe West. Not his strike mechanic, and not his crew. Jerry Crawford (2) walks over at the end. Jerry's crew consists of Brian O'Nora, Phil Cuzzi, and Bill Hohn. Hohn was not working that night; Triple A umpire Chris Guccione was behind the plate for this particular game.
