I admire people like Friends of the Earth, and wish that there were more of them, and that I had their hope, but I don't think the human race are, as yet, intelligent or sane enough to stop being the most grotesque, destructive, multiplying, and consuming disease the Earth has ever suffered.

It's only a matter of time before someone tarmacs their stairs so that they can drive to the toilet. They may, however, be confused as to whether they've had a turd or yet another baby.
