To the few other posters, that commented on here, regarding this Rock Pigeon. It wouldn't necessarily, have to be "pre-injured" before the Gull attacked it. Gulls are VERY opportunistic feeders, so i'm going to assume here, it initiated the injury, and just followed by killing it, with repeated blows of its beak. To the other poster, Crows can be VERY aggressive birds, however most Gulls, will maintain the upperhand in this balancing act, between the two. So that was a very "brazen" crow you saw
Was the pigeon pre-injured or otherwise somewhat incapacitated prior to contact with the gull? The start of the video shows the pigeon sort of out of it.
However, the Western Gull by far is a VERY predatory species of Gull. Not to discount either the Herring & Black-Backs i have out my way. I've seen them, take down pigeons on the beach, Herring Gulls will kill in a similar fashion, as this Western Gull did. But a Black-backed would probably kill a bird the size of a pigeon, with one swift beak blow and then swallow it whole, no joke!!!! So this footage, isn't shocking to me in the least. Marine parks, often are EASY "pickens" for Gulls.........
This is EXCELLENT footage, of how predatory gulls can be. I've seen many attacks by gulls, over my 15yrs in the avian field. However, this one was WELL documented. For starters, this is a Western Gull, just for classification purposes. I live on the east coast, primarily on Cape Cod. So that said, i'm used to seeing Herring Gulls, which are similar to Western Gulls, and of course the largest gull species in the world the Great Black-Backed Gull. Cont.....
Wow. I thought only birds of prey ate other birds, like hawks and eagles. Guess I was wrong!

Now all we need is an EAGLE to eat the seagull. I hate seagulls more than pigeons. They are pests like flying rats.

@SupaGoGoMan
They're just waiting for their chance to get you.
One day you're going to open your bedroom curtains and there will be 8 seagulls sat there looking in the window, just watching and waiting.
