Michelle was so calm when they put the IV in. I wish I was that calm when I was in the ER for an allergic reaction. It may have helped with the process.

I didn't see any self absorption in this video (I think I remember from my Bradley classes that they encourage Dads to eat a big breakfast so they'll have energy to coach the Mom).

I think what people misunderstand about the Duggars is that their deference to one another is a choice. It's not a mandate. This is what Jesus taught. To consider others. Even if you're in labor. I probably couldn't do it. That's amazing love.

They live in "holiness" which means to be separate from the world. There is no doubt that they are peculiar. That's what God calls for us to be. We are in this world but we are not of this world. I think they have a lot of love and they're a lot better then most families in the sense there's no yelling, drugs, alcohol, etc. The kids have nice clean clothes, (maybe not new but in good condition), they have good nutritional food, but it seems to me there's so much responsibility on the older girls, that they have to be "mom's" before they should.

Michelle said once that everyone has a buddy and that she's the first buddy to each child but after a new baby comes the old baby gets a new buddy and to me that just seems like she's handing the baby away now that she has an new one. And there's no possible way they can give each child the individual attention they deserve, not even a small portion, they can't give the children even one hour of one on one attention a day and that just seems so unfair to the children.
