If they did make a movie of this legend, Johnny Depp would be an excellent person to star as the character, or star as the police constable battling the character. They should make a movie about Spring Heeled Jack..he remains one of the biggest london mysteries yet! It doesnt really matter who plays him though! Its dissapointing that Alan Moore never included him in his league of extraordinary gentlemen..the comic not the lousy movie!

He couldn't have used springs, as the German army experimented with this during World War 1 and had a 98% injury rate. Even with modern technology they are unable to replicate this jumping height....
1) Rapist use the Spring-Heeled-Jack as a disguise to hide their true identity.
2) Think about this... compare this guy to the Grey Fox from Oblivion. Lots of people have used that disguise. Different people with different stunts.
3) All the rumors about the Spring-Heeled-Jack's powers are actually exaggerated and are performed by diffrent people.
just remember, bullets didn't hurt the spring-heeled jack. when he was shot by the soldiers, it just pissed him off and he slapped the guy in the face

Ive been reading about Spring heeled Jack recently, and i reckon it has all the makings of a top movie. I hope hollywood gets a hold of this! and your right Benji, Johnny Depp would be perfect for the role!
