well, my sources are trial and error first, then confirmation from honda. i tried that with my civic because it was new but having transmission problems. it was tested by driving at about 15mph and thrown into reverse and park. we were checking to see if it actually would grab but it didnt. that was just one of many tests. you can try it yourself if you have a newer vehicle, but i dont know what years that new safety system started

I honestly don't like the styling of this car compared to the other Rovers. It's too concept looking, and almost looks like the new Ford Explorer. I also really hate what Jaguar/Range Rover is doing with the shift knob, I'd confuse it for a Command controller similar to Mercedes.

The car is full of safety electronics so it doesn't let you put the knob to R. You can turn it but nothing will happen. It safes itself of destruction ;)

Jaguar aready has almost the same knob! If it doesn't make sense it won't let you do it! In some newer MBs if you hold the brake a give gas, the ecu won't give gas!

@skillz3333 i was lucky to get a 1st drive of the 2012 evoque amazing car you can mess with the gear selector while in motion you switch from drive/park/reverse etc.. with the rotary dial and then u have 2 press it in and it stays flush untill you come to a complete stop so no errors possible

@skillz3333 if you are actually worried about it id advise you to get the gearbox, plus it functions better than the turn gearbox on this video (what i mean by functions better is that it responds and has a quick switch feel not like a slouchy feel on the turn gearbox
