This album has alway been a "must have" for me since it came out in 1974. I've made many people aware of it over the years. Too bad most of radio is too often stuck on 3-minute-long songs, instead of the likes of what most of Kansas' first album is comprised. You usually have to wait until the wee hours to hear any of the really great, longer song tracks from Led Zeppelin, Kansas, etc.
@rustym88 KISW in Seattle plays loads of Zeppelin. They play considerable long songs (stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, fool in the Rain) but they actually don't play any Kanas at all really. They play mostly newer stuff, grunge, and some 1970s and 1980s stuff.
In case you didn't know, on the cover is John Brown, abolitionist who fought and rebelled to re-stabilize kansas right before the civil war. And what a great tribute to him!
Lol this is tagged under Education. Damn right.

Oh, I cannot tell you to make up your mind
And gather together the best of your kind
The prophets have spoken the words of ill fate
Your childhood has ended you've taken the bait
