  • Urban Meyer uses yes uses young kids to win games and make his livilihood. How many of his Gator players never graduate with a degree??? Answer: loads and loads but he tries to pretend he cares about them? What a friggin joke. Meyer like most of top college coaches is a parasite who acts like a leech on most of his players. He could care less about them unless he thiunks they can help him win a ball game. Watching this douche bag try to act like he has some high standards is comical. LOL

  • @bluetiege Have You ever been a coach? I don't think your In any position to question the Relationship that this man has with his Players, I played High school football and Will be going to college (after marines) You didn't see him crying when Tebow Left? he brings these kids up to make decisions for themselves he can't force them to stay for college, he can do all the convincing he wants to do, but part of being a leader is leading your boys to the door, they gotta walk through it.

  • HAHA!!!! Urban Myer is such a tool! Can't wait to see bama rip his ass apart saturday!!!!!!!!!

  • Urban Meyer = douche

  • I disagree, but you certainly have the right to your opinion.....it works both ways.... the media was right there and that is one of the reasons Meyer caught such flak, Fouler knew he had the stage too. But let's see how the season goes.... The heads are so big here in G-ville that they are talking about 2 more NCs and 4 SEC rings out of this recruit class. We'll see come Fall.

  • This reporter Fowler needs to gain a little respect for the Coach by calling him Coach instead of using first name. Would this guy call Jim Tressel, Jim, or Pete Carrol, Pete, or Joe Paterno, Joe..... HELL NO!!!! He needs to start showing some attention to the manners needed. He already has shown how he twisted Deonte's words.... Sure he said Brantley was a "real" QB.... because he IS !!.... Tebow was a freak on the field, and everyone can see that by looking at the stats and the awards.

  • @Joebeimon

maybe if he was a player or something he should be calling urban coach, but it's one man talking to another.

  • @Joebeimon urban meyer is not Mr fowlers coach, why should he call him coach?

its all the sports junkies that seem to think hes some sort of god. hes not. its just another man talking to another man. no need to call him coach.

  • @OMGItsWeasel It's a respect thing. I coach and have people call me coach all the time. Now, I don't make them but I don't know that Coach Meyer makes anyone do that.

  • @kperry316 Respect thing for what? Coaches, especially college football coaches, are simply glorified babysitters with a contractual obligation to win games for the school they work for.

I understand if you're a volunteer coach you better really love the respect. Otherwise I wonder what your true intentions are being around children all the time.

But don't expect your peers to call you coach, that is quite pompous if you ask me.

Meyer demanded Mr Fowler call him coach? Hes an asshole

  • @OMGItsWeasel What my true intentions are??? Really?? I am a high school football d-coordinator. This is the difference between someone who has played a sport (me, Meyer, probably the reporter) and you. Not everyone who coaches it looking to Sandusky kids you creeper.

  • @kperry316 Playing a sport doesn't automatically earn you any sort of respect. Sports are entertainment. You must really miss being young and playing sports to have to devote your life to coaching. I am saddened that high school coaches are not volunteers and that my taxes pay for something that my children don't need to be doing at school. Sports are supposed to be extracurricular. The idea that coaches get paid to be around kids worries some people. Like it so much? do it for free.

  • @OMGItsWeasel First, I've done plenty of coaching for free...I still coach 7 on 7 for free every summer. It's people like you that want to get rid of programs because it brings back bad memories of high school and being stuffed in lockers. You're the same person that would kill a music program at a school because it's "extra". The arts and sports go hand and hand and those that have talent to teach young people should be valued. Just because you don't see a value doesn't mean there isn't a value

  • @OMGItsWeasel And playing the sport or coaching isn't where the respect lies. It's doing it the right way. Doing right by the kids and the parents that trust you with something very important to them. I'm saddened that someone would be so trivial and disrespectful to those that work honorably with young adults. People that have spent countless hours away from family to teach kids not to just play a game but how to play with integrity and honor. When's the last time you got that in a Bio class?
