I just took my driver's test, and passed it. I used this video for parallel parking. Before the day taking the test, I found a place where I could practice parallel parking. I wasn't good at it, so that made me very nervous how I'm going to pass it. I knocked over a cone used in parallel parking during the test and the instructor didn't know I knocked it down. Lol. I passed with a 79. it's suppose to be a 75 or better. A couple of others made an 80 and a 90, which they made higher than me.

How to parallel PARK THE RIGHT WAY:

1. Pull up along side parked car. ALIGN mirror to mirror. Adjust slightly if your car is longer than the parked car.

2. TURN your WHEEL 1 FULL ROTATION ONLY to the right and begin backing up.

3. When your mirror is align with the corner of the parked bumper TURN your WHEEL ALL THE WAY LEFT then back up

4. ADJUST position

5. PROFIT = INSTANT PASS

my driving school says step 1 put the cars beside eachother, step 2 reverse to a 45 degree angle, step 3 stop reversing when the other cars bumper and youre right taillight are matched up, then turn the wheel all the way to the left, and reverse into the space..but it never works. im my opinion, this videos steps are waayy easier to follow

I learned a lot watching a top valet parker,

he could parallel just about anything into the tightest spots.

it has a lot to do with learning about the size of your car, practice with cones in front back and sides, until you know just before you touch them, that way, you'll have more confidence to move your car as you maneuver into the parking spot.

if you don't have cones, you can use the painted lines, just get out and check your real position against what you thought.
