Its a compromise between the number of water changes, the volume of the tank, and the amount of waste produced by the fish, Two 20% changes a week on this would be sufficient I reckon. Any less and the lack of water movement would probably cause algae build up and stagnated water?
Also water diffuses from the atmosphere through the waters surface. So oxygenation wouldnt be an issue.
Any thoughts people?
nice little tank by the way. Im jelous, might start one of these little things!
of course there were some frog replacements just like in a large tank, but a well-bred dwarf one stayed between 2001-2004 in it, the small space made it easy for him to eat dried blood worms.
nice video. it's short so its easy to watch and your tank looks really clean.
Just wanted to say I have kept this exact model for seven years with plants and dwarf frogs with no circulation or changing of substrate/plants, mine would still be alive but I elbowed it into the sink accidentally
Heyyyy, wait, what are you talking about? On closer inspection I see fish in there already! What do you mean you don't think so, too little? You already did it!
Try 3 or 4 whiteclouds? They're clean, small and are happy with simple dapnia, brine shrimp and stuff.

Animals in the ball? Shame and disgrace!.
The ball can not hold any animal.
Insert a candy there.

@HeavensHostages yes kinda, XP it's the reflection from the tank behind the bowl. .w.

studies have proven that fish bowls drive fish mad, but i say its bullshit, its just way harder to keep the fish alive coz of no filtration etc.
OMGHuygens 1 year ago
@OMGHuygens well, the curved walla of the fish tank give an altered look of the world. That would drive anyone mad.

Thats a very nice bowl - and an effective death trap for your fishes, no matter how often water changes are made. They want elbow room, man.

fish will die in a fishbowl without air bubble which means oxygen
caliburn0911 2 years ago
no they wont, plants generate o2 in the water, the is only a small tiny fish
ilikebac0n 2 years ago

Nevermind that, the fish were so small that I couldn't really see them.

unfiltered, unpumped bowls belong in da coytoons like pinocchio and tweedy poi. seriously, it looks dead cool, but they need electrics. TRUST ME.
catblanket14uk 3 years ago
