I heard of a child who died in foster care, it was not their fault, he died in his sleep. He had lots of problems because his real mother drank when she was pregnant. One day they put him to bed and he died, no one's fault due to his medical condition.

When we became close to each other, she told me that the system treated her and all the other foster kids like crap. She was neglected/abused in all 6 homes. These are all children that were taken from loving homes by child protection and died in foster homes. It happens alot more than people think. I remember reading a story about these childrean in time magazine. So sad. One little boy was adopted with two of his brothers and the foster mom made him eat a whole jar of salt and he died of sodiom overdose. Lots of sad storys with these kids.

I lived on the streets in every city in Canada for at least 3 months. I always had to keep moving... There was only the odd person I met out there that was not hiding from care. We called them weekend warriors. The government here never cared enough to research this topic. The only way to get the info you want is to go into the streets and see it for yourself.

I went in at 11 and got out at 18 and had 32 different placements.. You can see how easy it is for them to just take a kid off the radar.
