What are the overall dimensions (L x W x H) of the crate the MaxJax is shipped in? If I have to rent a truck to pick up the lift, I'll need to know that info.
Are the floor anchors held to the concrete floor by anything other than friction?? I saw the demonstrator hammer them in, but is that all?? My fear is wit time/vibration they will just work their way loose. Any comments on that? Thanks..
@aabasiry The MaxJax Bolts are used with a set of threaded heavy-duty anchor bolts that would need to be installed before use. These sleeve-style wedge anchors are rated at a capacity of 10,000 lbs EACH, when used with concrete that is standard 3000psi. It is basically the same type of anchor used for professional full-size lifts in shops.
Only one problem. For those that work on sports vehicles with low ground clearance of like 4"-6" the lift fork won't fit underneath. Otherwise its a nice design to have for trucks and muscle cars. .
a little running commentary on the process would have been more appreciated than the overpowering music. One question I have is since this one is set up for the BMW X5 do you have to have multiple mounting holes in the floor for other vehicles?
You can drill the initial anchor bolts at any desired width depending on size of garage and vehicle. Of course, if you wanted to lift several different vehicles of varying sizes, you would then need to purchase additional anchor bolts and drop them in different locations for the varying widths.
@Lawmtho You will also notice that the arms can slide in and out, so that setup they run on the video will do pretty much all cars (maybe not a classic mini though)
I'm tired of hearing people bitch about the low lift height. It's for the DIY'er at home with a typicaly garage celing height.. NOT someone with a shop who has the celing height for a full size lift. Even though it only lifts 45" its enough for me to drop a motor out of a car.
Great Ideas! Stop clowning is It does it purpose! My shop ceiling Happened to be around 9ft high so this is a good portable lift for doing brakes and oil changes.
Good ideas I hope you have a great success in selling your product!
We used to make our products in the USA. We were unable to continue though because no Americans wanted to buy a $5000 lift. It was move to China or close up shop. It is still made with the same quality materials and care as always.
EXCELLENT if you are a midgit, PATHETIC if you are 194cm, lol, even on a chair i couldn't get under that thing!. Certainly looks ilke a PAIN IN THE ASS to set up as well.

How thick does the concrete floor need to be?

yeah right try removing a power steering gearbox a driveshaft, rear axle, transmission etc while sitting in a stupid rolling chair. not happening.
better than laying on your back? sure.
a homeowner solution? sure.
but lets not put a dress on a pig. being able to stand up is the ultimate way to work and move around under the vehicle.

@dlagrua
There is an easy solution for this! Just invest in some race ramps! Something like this: gesusa.com/Race-Ramps-Set-of-2-RR-SCALE-2-p/119515.htm

@dlagrua drive the car onto a block of wood, like a 2x6 or 2x10 it will allow for more ground clearance.
