First, I'll point out that Lennon is rocking a 2nd Infantry Division patch on his left sleeve, The Indian Head Division, Second To None!! Next, This is a good interview because of the realness. The smoking, Jap jokes, completely non-P.C., and everybody being themselves. Currently, celeb interviews are simply press-junkets, plugging new album, movie, show. Here, it's a long, sometimes uncomfortable, chat. Finally, I don't care what everybody else says, I think Yoko is hot.

Granted that Lennon clearly wanted to shine a spotlight on Yoko Ono for this appearance, this is nevertheless a monumental waste of a golden opportunity to get a meaningful and in-depth interview with a fascinating subject. Only in the last few minutes as time was running out did Cavett, whom I actually admire a lot, start to ask some real questions of interest. And than it was over. What a shame.

Yoko sure has terrible fashion sense, they both smoked way too much, and they did have some pretty bad and weird ways about them than. Otherwise, John sure was a musical genius at times back than. Yoko and Cher were the queens of bad taste to be sure.
