Great filming. However, I know the riding wasn't that great, but man are those slow trap times for a wing, or any bike! I hit 100mph in the 1/8th mile on my FJR.

I would have bet on the Wing with it's displacement and FI in 6 opposed cylinders. However, the 1300cc V4 Venture has a double overhead cam and 4 valves per head. Wing is only a SOHC and 2 valves per head.

Grab a bigger fist of throttle and really launch that 1800 wing and you'll run close to 110, and 12.5 in the quarter.

This is real fun racing--not about maximum performance, but just choosing off another guy and running them for the fun of it.. One of those guys has dragraced before and gets a serious holeshot everytime--fun!

Venture did really good since it is on a 1300CC against the GW 1800CC ..

Venture is running 98HP and the GW 118 if I remember correctly ...

good vid guys but take the brakes off the 1800, they hit over 100 mph in less than the 1/4 mile without too much strain :)

seriously though, hope it was as good fun as it looks, keep it right side up.

I to ran my 05 wing a couple of years ago and ran like a 13:30 without beating on it. So I know first hand they will do better than that.but these guy's are riding there wings and that is great fun no matter!!!

These guys are having fun but they aren't pushing their bikes. I took mine to the strip long ago and was down in the low 13 times.

Looks like I started a fad. Racing luxury touring bikes. :-)

Got boring after a while didin't it? Now running in 1 mile instead of 1/4 mile that would be a blast.

I ran for over 20 miles in the desert at 120 back in 2008 and in 2007 I ran for about 6 miles on a long straight strip in the mountains at 140. They are fast bikes for their size.

GW is faster... More CC's and HP than the Venture, but the Venture

did pretty well against a 1800cc vs 1300cc ...
