i am getting my 1st Percheron Mare next week, she is only 3 and a real Black Beauty , i plan to team her with my Irish Draft gelding if all goes well xxx
Beautiful horses . I went to a heavy horse show a few years ago and they had Australias largest percheron there. He stood 19.3 hh and ate more food in one day than my 11 horses together...
Ha-ha I did check out your channel. You are so tiny and your horse is a giant monstor! LOL amazing how you can control such a beast. Others finding this message, guiness' video of her and her horse is a must see.
@KentuckyGiant :) I can relate, I'm about 5'4 and small, and my mare that passed away was a perch. Originally doing carriage work, I also did some dressage and other riding with her.
yep... I use to do rehabilitate abused warm blood and draft horses... usually don't have saddles for them so I usually rode bareback... amazing animals... =D
here's even a better visual... I'm only 5'3"... so I barely come up to their elbows... I have to use a three or four step ladder to get on... hahahaha... XD

I'm leasing a Percheron/Paint X and he is the most sweetest, quiet horse I've ridden.
I would love to drive a 6 horse team! :)

It's actually a lot more relaxing then riding my saddle horses i find.
Our big guys ( well mostly girls ) are all sooo laid back and not much bothers them.
You can accomplish a lot with a draft horse under saddle, they all have something they love to do :)

We ride our Percheron's!
We have 8 of them now, and all the ones broke for harness are also broke to ride! Nice video! :)

Thanks for the great comment. Not many people actually ride Percheron's. I wanna try it sometime!

my favorite horse of all time... they're a trip to ride... XD

Wow! Ride one? Haha I can see it now. Rather than sitting on the horse with it between your legs, you just sit on top.
Be careful that you don't become bowlegged. Ha-ha just kidding!

Beautiful animals - and such amazing maneuverability, too! Nice show :D

It was the technical skill of the driver that made me find this most interesting.
