the game only didn't do well because they chose the wrong platform, I mean, seriously. Most of the people who play the Wii are kids 6-13, and most of the adults who play Wii are too mature for MadWorld.

@TheJackout7 Actually, No More Heroes (which falls into the same category) did well.

The problem is that the, for lack of a better word, "artsier" a video game is the poorer it'll do in sales because it does more to break the norm and because video games have become expensive in recent times, an artsy and unique game won't do well in sales. Because Mad World is a borderline colorless character study on society's utter sadism, it was sadly all but doomed for failure.

@gruntora Don't be so sure. I mean, look at The Dark Crystal. When it came out it did poorly in the box office, still it became a cult classic. Later it had a successful run.

@gruntora no more heroes is also an "artsy" video game. and this game didn't do good not because it's black and white, okami is a fairly colorful and artistic game and it got really high reviews, but it just didn't sell like madworld. but there r some artistic games that do sell like shadow of the colossus and bioshock. what I'm saying is that it's just dumb luck.
