It should work if you get a converter for it, but why not just buy it in Europe? Surely, the shipping and import tax would negate whatever money you save on the product itself. The SR1 is an old model by now in any case. The HDR-SR12 is probably the best of the current crop of HD harddrive cameras from Sony.

Hi I'm wondering if you can alter smooth slow clips on windows movie make or flip through them 1 frame at a time on media player, or even the software that comes with the camera? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem at all. Most video editing software have that ability, though I can't remember what the keypress for it in WMM is. Probably something like ctrl-arrow or alt-arrow or something like that. You can probably find it in the help files... somewhere. ^_^

What effect? The detail of motion here comes from my camera, but I used iMovie to slow it down even more. I can't remember how I did it, though. I think you can command-click and choose speed. Or something.

Sadly, no matter how much light you have, the quality is going to be bad on the slow motion videos. I've tried during sunny summer days, and the result is always the same. Blurry, noisy footage. But it can be great fun in a pinch! ^_^
