Way back when, others were doing the early "Dead Head" thing... I would catch Jerry and John Dawson, steel guitar and twelve string at little clubs and coffee houses. They'd do that early Purple Sage stuff, Tiger by the Tail, Blue Ridge Mountain etc. It was his love and appreciation of traditional music that always drew me to Jerry and the crew. I think that's what made him great. GREAT job pickin that 12 string, buddy.
well, grassy ass ( which is spanish for "thank you")! I always like the Dead best when they that "folky" stuff. I wish I could have seen Jerry in a little club!

Well I got hear Jerry in little clubs and venues... but I still should have stayed in school.
