This is brilliant. The use of 883s ensures that the straight line speeds as well as the cornering speeds are slow enough that the crashes are less serious, it kind of reminds me of the GPZ 305 races except the 305s were faster on a tight track.

Well, I can understand why some people race Harleys; it's a bit like the bargain basement class where the riders can 'learn the trade' of curcuit racing.

That said, it's quite a bit slower than the 500cc Clubmans Championship Series during the 1960's, where Gold Stars, Tritons, Tribsas and Matchless G50's were the normal machinery at the time.

The only improvements I can see are (a) the tyres and (b) the brakes - everything else is forty-year old technology!
