i dont know if anyone notices, but the first part of the song that he does after the intro is actually supposed to be the 2nd part after the chorus. they are backwards. still a great performance, but i can pick out the differences from the album version.

@brodude1990 I don't know if it was really Kurt's abilities or if it was more his limits. He couldn't arrange complex hair band like guitar riftts because he had back problems and couldn't be on stage for a long time. That's why Krist and he destroyed their guitars and amps after about 45 minutes of playing. Kurt was more into the lyrical part of the music it seemed. Though he did have a very good ear and great vocal abilities much like Shaun Morgan.

Cobain is an influence on Shaun, but as someone who HATED stupid hair bands and rocked hard when grunge hit the scene as i was in high school; Seether is better than Nirvana. Nirvana was in the right place at the right time and, because of people thinking Kurt was cute, made them stand in front of bands that were better at that time, PRIMARILY Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.

not taking anything away from NIrvana, but because Seether has been around longer, their song set now exceeds Nirvana.

But a re-make is them adding their own personal twist on the song. I guess it's still considered a "cover" but technically it's a re-make. Shaun does have an awesome voice and is a great guy...if you sang that song that many nights and put your on rock edge on it...the high parts would be difficult. Seether is a working band...they are on the road...not a studio band that just records and does a few dates...so as always...SEETHER ROCKS IT!!!

actually "ABEASTOFAMAN" the reason the sound quality sounds like he can't hit the high notes is because this is recorded on like a regular digital camera or a phone.. Actually you couldnt be more wrong with regards 2 the camera not capturing the high notes. It's one thing the "quality" and another thing to be able to capture "high notes".A regular camera like this one would fail on the quality, not on the high notes.Havin said that, it's more than obvious in this recording the dude can sing&he can actually hit every single note without mistakes.
