This and Pixar's "Day & Night" are the two most impressive bits of animation I've seen. If anyone knows anything else as smart, I'd like to know. For some brilliant stop motion shorts, check out Švankmajer (I highly recommend "Dimensions of Dialogue").

a only 6 and half minutes animation with such a deep meaning...
I was so into it; the structure is done very well, and the drawings are simple but strong.
There are some comedical factors, but the message is a very serious one.
The scream of a woman in the war scene is stuck in my head, even after I sighed deeply with the child when he got out from the hell.

To add to my last comment, I also feel the film teaches us to "look outside the box" or to "see the bigger picture!"

I personally feel the film teaches us about perspective! Not only in the physical sense but in a moral sense too! We can all view things from a far in the relative safety of our own homes and draw conclusions from them, but if we empathise with what goes on in the world and we place ourselves in those situations that are alien or dangerous to us, then maybe our opinions and thoughts on the given situations would change!
