Yo Jozusan the 9600GT is basically an 8800GT with a lower amount of stream processing cores. If you have the cpu horsepower to back up your 9600GT then you should be able to rip Crysis at 1280X1050 no problem if you patch it up to 1.2 which is highly optimized. So basically anything above an Athlon 3800X2 or a Pentium D 2.8GHZ

NP Prab, I just upgraded, like 5 days ago i got my New EVGA 780i Tri SLI Motherboard, along with my Zalman 9700 CPU Heat Sink which gives my Q6600 the ability to just cruise at 3.2GHZ at load 41C and 29C at idle with clearly tons more room to go (its a G0 SLACR Ed. Q6600) I also got 4GB OCZ HPC Ram and a Corsair 750Watt TX Ed. PSU. My games Absolutely Fly now. I will be buying a Geforce GTX295 or Dual GTX 285's when the prices drop or a new card is released, whichever comes first.

What the fuck are you talking about CutOutSock? Who said anything about "flying" through Crysis? I said he could play Crysis with smooth fps with a 9600GT. The 9600GT will play Crysis at 1280X1024 at High settings with an Athlon 5000+ with ease. Overclock both the CPU and GPU and you could pull Very High Spec at 1280X1024 and at 1440X900 you could prably play Med/High with playable FPS. 25FPS is playable in most games, Crysis being one of them. You dont need 60FPS to enjoy the game.

Hell right here on YouTube there are tons of Videos of the 9600GT playing Crysis on VERY HIGH SPEC WHILE RECORDING WITH FRAPS AT THE SAME TIME WITH SMOOTH FPS. So dont tell me the 9600GT can't rage Crysis with smooth fps. If I put a 9600GT in my rig Crysis would FLY at 1280X1024 which is the market the 9600GT is aimed at. Its a $50 dollar card that plays any game out there. Entry level Hardware has become very powerful over the past 3 years. Welcome to the HD Era NOOB.

I severely don't recomend running an 8800GT at that, seriously, I'd be surprised if you where maintaining a temperature of less than 90 Degrees! With any luck your card will last 3-5 months!

Must have gotten a bad one. I have the MSI oc one. Cleaned off the stock thermal grease and applied my own Arctic Silver thermal grease. The thing runs cooler than ever, not to mention it's in an Antec 900 case. I get no crashes as well.
