@bigb771 You won, but we beat ourselves. I personally wasn't impressed by the LSU defense. Geno had all night to throw the ball (I didn't imagine that) - 463 passing yards, WOW. Here is why we lost - Bad punts on our part, good punts on your's; two fumbles an a fluke interception. Take out turnovers and we win the game. But congrats, maybe we'll see another match-up in the future.

@bigb771 LSU has a good team - better overall team than WVU. Defense is not anywhere near the hype and wasn't a factor. LSU has great special teams and an offense just good enough to capitalize on turnovers (not forced by D). WVU could have won that game - LSU isn't out of our league. There are at least 5 or 6 fluke situations that had anyone not occurred would have drastically changed the momentum of the game.
@CohibaSkeeza I'll give you the ball strip as a forced turnover, although Starks had no business trying to pickup more yards after that catch especially seeing the ball strip from the Oregon game - just go down with the LSU guys unless you have some open field. but that interception was total fluke off of dudes helmet. And then the run-back - WOW, I know your guys are fast but there is no excuse for WVU that he wasn't tackled - that did it.

After y'all cut it to 27-21, we outscored y'all 20-0 and completely shut down your offense. The only thing that kept the game close for a few minutes was that Randel drop.

They were better prepared, hungrier and played a better game and they beat the crap out of us. They were the only team in the nation in the same league with us, and they showed it that night. It really will come down to this, Jordan Jefferson. WVU has one major advantage, one position where these is no doubt they are better than LSU and it is the most important position on the field.....QB. If Jefferson and the LSU offense plays this bad again WVU wins this year. WVU will be vastly improved on offense and their defense, despite the loses, will not fall off the map and will still be good enough to be a force. With that said, last years game was just ugly all the way around for both.
LSU may have played at bama, florida and tenn, but I promise you that there is no place that is like Mountaineer Field. Come on up to Morgantown yourself and see...what we lack in size compared to those three, we make up with passion. Lets Go Mountaineers!!!
