  • IF Anybody thinks Reed and Chester never picked together your friggin nutz I was there in Nashville and both were friends and we picked they picked They were the best of friends!

  • Crazy, go tell Deaton-Flanigen in Nashville this is a fake. They produced it. My daughter worked there at the time and I have an original copy of the production tape.

  • why don't you drop it, and find something better to do. It gives people the link to the real video. you're a real trip. I could delete your comments, but it's so fun to see you enlightened my day..

  • Jerry Reed. Grossly underestimated composer and player.

Chet...well. Much as I like him, the best I can say is that he laid the foundations for far greater players. Take a look at Richard Smith playing a Jerry Reed medley.

    Great vid though.

  • Thanks krissygirl for posting.

I like Chet & Jerry very much and trying playing their tunes too.

    Cheers from Italy

    Rob

  • Could someone please tell me what key they're playing this in? Is it in standard tuning, or dropped key? Please help! Going crazy trying to figure it out.

  • standard tuning, chords are a7 and some d7, stuff like that

  • Classic Reed. Key of A. I, IV, V mainly. All over the net. Email me for the music

  • Thanks for the response! I understand A, but what do you mean by I,IV,V? I can't read music or tab, I play by ear only. Did you mean all over the neck?

  • In any key, the I, IV, V (one, four, five) are the main chords for literally hundreds if not thousands of tunes (mainly 50's RockNRoll, Blues) In A, those are A, D and E7. The pattern is different as to when to play, but go for the feel of the changes and use A, D and E or E7

  • I recorded it on my old VHS around 1986 or so.

Even then it wasn`t good quality.

Your myspace video is soooo much better.

    5/5

  • yep, I wish I knew how to get the original on youtube but I don't, If you know how to post it! I love this video

  • Thanks Krissy ...

Another of these "modern" style videos were it's hard to see anything (unstable, fuzzy, moving,...) , to hear anything (except children) ... I know you're not responsible for that ...

Anyway, I could see a little of their fingers playing ...

  • Hurl....It's actually a very good and crystal clear video, but this was made by using a video camera to record off the TV instead of using line connections to the player. I've seen the original and it's VERY good.
