  • Went to see this at Drury Lane. When the 1st number started I thought to myself "I'm going to love every second of this" and I was right. It was one of the most joyous events of my life. I adore tap dance routines and the male lead had the sexiest voice I've ever heard.

  • Do you have the other numbers they did on Royal Variety that year - I vaguely remember that as the show was in the 42nd Street theatre they did numbers throughout - it was the Audition and Lullaby of Broadway - obviously was very young when this was on although I did go and see the whole show with my folks. Fabulous show and cast!

  • Dedicated to Carole and Michael Middleton!!!

  • Finally, one with Gowers choreography!

  • I worked on this show (Both 42nd St and the Royal) I was in the flys. It's me who was pulling the ropes to bring in the white cloth at the end !!!!! Memories :-)

  • I'd only just joined the company when we did that performance. Give her my best. Tell her I joined from New Zealand...she should remember who I am

  • No, this was before Catherine joined the company

  • This was the second time that 42ND STREET was on the Command Performance. The first Billy Lawler was much better.

  • is that a young Catherine Zeta-Jones I see?

  • Awwh! My mum is in this! Amazing to see her perform! x

  • @tompegg482 Who was your mum?

  • @djsametz my mum played Lorraine! at the beginning you can see her on the far left of the four girls on stage.

How bizarre! She was in it for years and years! x

  • My God......this brings back some really good memories. Lol
