@diviniumtormentum The name of the song is 'The First Time I Loved Forever' sang by Lisa Angelle, and the poem read by Ron Perlman using his (beast) Vincent voice is called 'Somewhere I Have Never Traveled' and is by the poet e.e. cummings. It is track # 22 - 'The Voice of Her Eyes', on the Beauty and the Beast: Of Love and Hope soundtrack, which contain the music and poetry used in the series.

lol, 2:45 what a hunk! Unfortunately I don't like when they change to be more like the other - I like them just the way they are, and their love which crosses boundaries. I never could relate to the change in B&the B, the Disney film. I loved B&the B, this song, the poem, everything, and the Gargoyles - never missed one episode.

@BoadiceaBell Actually I still have the audio cassette Love & Hope, which I bought in 1988. It was B&B that gave me my love for litature and poetry. And gave me hope that someday I'd find my own lady in waiting. I remember if you didnt get a copy right away you were out of luck because they sold out everywhere. Perlman actually had get into full makeup & costume to read the poems for the album, he couldnt become Vincet with them. He said this in an interview.

References made to Peter Medak's "Beauty and the Beast" series in "Gargoyles" include both being set in NYC, a guest appearence by Tony Jay who played the villain Paracelsus in "BATB", outcasts living in a labyrinth, Elisa a detective similar to Catherine's position as D.A..

Other songs that would make great Goliath/Elisa music videos are "Matteita Hito/The One I've Waited For" from TOEI's "The Little Mermaid" anime (the one with Marina) and "Sun & Moon" from "Miss Saigon" which I can provide.

I used to watch beauty and the beast as a kid ( I still do as I've got my DVD's now), and I was disappointed when it was taken off the air. Later on when I was around eighteen and Gargoyles came on I was excited to see how the relationship between Elisa and Goliath mirrored that of Vincent and Catherine. Still I was disappointed that Gargoyles didn't last too long on the air. I wish someone could bring the show back, or something similar.

I got rid of cable because it, and the cable companies and the satellite companies annoyed me, so I don't know if it's still on the air or not-but a few months ago Toon Disney(Now called Disney DX I think) aired Gargoyles after midnight. Around 2 or 3 am. I think. If you have that channel they may be airing it where you are. Maybe you can record it? If you sleep at night. Just thought I'd mention it. Also, I use to watch Beauty & The Beast when I was REALLY little. Loved it too!
