  • Absolutely wonderful. Could listen all night. mcw

  • ADMIRANDO AL MAXIMO ESTE CANAL UN ABRAZO.

ES DE MUCHA AYUDA. DIOS TE BENDIGA

  • ioezezezezio

  • Although the tune is in Cm, Cm7 can be used interchangeably but music theory dictates that the tonic is supposed to be a m6 or minmajor 7 chord since since the b7 is a whole step away from the tonic and doesn't match the the major 3rd of G7 which is B natural and leads right into the tonic. I guess that's why it's called music theory.

  • my friend , i have a question. ive been trying to learn this song on improvisation for my college rehearsal but im kinda new to jazz, so i would appreciate it if you could explain what G7 means when written like this G7(#4 #5) or like this G7(#9 #5)

as also what does Cm6 mean( i mean its c minor , ok , but whats the 6 stand for? )

i would sooooo appreciate it if you could help me out :)

  • @andygjata Not sure on the G7 chord but the Cminor 6 chord is like this C Eb G A

Its basically a minor chord with the 6th added instead of the b7. Cminor6 is the same as F9. F9 = Aminor7b5 = Cminor6 The term "minor" is referring to the Eb. The A is the natural note in the C scale, so its C Eb G A for the minor 6 chord.

Its really a minor chord with a Major 6 interval, that's just how it works for this chord.

  • @andygjata hey get the real book 6th edition it has this tune and a bunch of other standards

He plays the way I wish I could play, but its never gonna happen!...listening to Doug, now I can die happy!....see what happens when you practice.....and you've got a ton of talent!...

  • @SalPedi there is no such thing as a separation between a ton of practice and a ton of talent
