How come I can watch depressing movies all the time without shedding a single tear, but then come here to watch 3-4 minute clips and start bawling like a baby?
People keep on saying how this and other videos made them cry... Yeah, they're quite sad and such but why doesn't it hit me with the same force it hits others? Why don't I feel any urge to cry or anything - just sadness but not much more than that..? Does that make me a heartless person?
@imarchello no not really...sometimes, things need to ...take a certain effect on you. maybe you need to experience something REAL and physical right before your eyes. when people used to tell me that someone passed away...i didn't really know how to react. i'd be like "shit" in my head but that was it or sometimes it seemed ridiculous and i felt like laughin. until my best friend died. when i got the phone call..i didnt believe it. when once i got to her body, it hit me. so ya..it's like that?

I cried during the watching of these 9/11 videos. I was in New York on that day, and I know the stress of not knowing whether or not your family was safe that morning. I have put it out of my mind these last few years. Thank you, StoryCorps, for giving back to me the memory of all those who passed on that day. 9/11 inspired me to serve my country when I reached the age. Hurricane Katrina led me to join the Coast Guard. Love and respect to all those who lost someone that day.

I cried during the watching of these 9/11 videos. I was in New York on that day, and I know the stress of not knowing whether or not your family was safe that morning. I have put it out of my mind these last few years. Thank you, StoryCorps, for giving back to me the memory of all those who passed on that day. 9/11 inspired me to serve my country when I reached the age. Hurricane Katrina led me to join the Coast Guard. Love and respect to all those who lost someone that day.

My heart goes out to the families of loved ones lost on the tragic events of 9/11... im usually good at keeping in my emotions but these videos really touch me to the point where i get stuffy nosed and tears literally stream down my face... wonderful videos

This reminds me of the time i was on a deployment in afghanistan, i had got vaughy in a flank attack from nearby rebels, even though it was 15 mins of hell fire shooting at me all was in my mind was my ex-fiance and my family, im blessed god gave me a chance to be here still today but i am terrible sorru for what you suffered , im glad i joined the service knowing i fought for justice for people like you. But in this case US was helping them - Bosnia. And still they are - Kosovo. As much they are financing our politicians for complete destruction of my country.
