  • Guess that settles that! Lol

  • why didnt they pick on dodge

  • toyota and nissan has been using electronic lockers in the tacoma's and frontier's for years, but i think the locking front diff is cool.

  • I want the new Ford F150 Raptor !!! Those are really cool looking trucks. But i will stick with my 98 F150 been a Great Truck.

  • its amazing how they dont show the land rover or the titan. cause once again. FORD COPPIED NISSAN. land rover has OPEN diffs and can go up this ramp in a far superior fassion. with its traction control system u can go up with only 1 wheel with good grip. (it locks the tires using the brakes instead of the diff)

    NOT A NISAN FAN

    land rover for life :)

  • @adv512 Ford owned Land Rover from 2000 to June of 2008, Moron.

  • @1vdn992 negative. if u understand how traction control works. youl understand. and please. trolling is outdated. take care meow

  • @adv512 u mad, lol

  • @razorbackuphere lol yeah i was getting their.

  • @1vdn992 yes but ford didnt take their technology. if they did this wouldnt be in the truck. look at the '11 f-150. has the same traction control as a land rover. and honestly. a real off roader is gonna use an ARB system. not stock. off roaders who use stock. are the real morons.

  • m3 has a locking e-dif to do some pretty impressive power-slides.. jussss sayin

  • who's gonna go up a ramp with a bunch of rollers anyways?

  • why isnt mike rowe promoting this?

  • @xXTigheSoflyXx thats what I was thinking

  • i hate all these sensors on the newer trucks. too many expensive things to break. i love my air locker and won't take anything over it.

  • the fucker driving ford engagded the locking differential before he went up the ramp. just proves how weak ford is

  • @MrJrs54 What are you talking about? If you see that you're going up a ramp of rollers, you know you're going to have difficullties. The Ford has the ability to eliminate those difficulty with the pull of a knob. Why would he want to do that after his tires are all ready spinning? You're just mad that you're precious chevy doesn't have that feature.

  • @TNT0403 wow im 14 years old and i know more than you do. its sad how grown men argue over stupid shit like this. its not about the truck, its about the driver moron!

  • @MrJrs54 hey dude, its most of the time not always the driver. its mainly about the truck.

  • @rush4ever1 dude dont even fuckin mesage me. i dont give a shit. if your gonna bitch about trucks bitch about toyota and nissian!

  • I just watched this video again, and I look back at another video with the same differential. They tested it on a F 350 and the wheel still slips before it actually locks. And yet, still has to be engaged to 4WD to actually activate the locking mechanism.

  • agreed. the electronic differential only activates with 4WD, while the chevy with the Eaton G80 locker activates even on 2WD. and if im right, the chevy trucks from not too long ago started using the locker alot before ford and dodge. the only ford with the locker that i had seen and heard of is from detroit. other than that, they used the limited slip which sucks and sadly is what i have now, thanks to my dad.

  • Sorry, but Chevy as the Eaton G80 autolocking differential, it never fail to me.

  • Completely Fake

  • DODGE EH,CHEVY OK, FORD UR A BEAST, toyota ur a pretty boy who bought a truck for looks

  • @rob244810 I drive a 564,182 Mile 4Runner. Toyota's are so easy to work on and they're better on gas then most trucks their age.

  • @rob244810 Then realized it doesn't even look good!

  • @rcman123 ahah exactly

  • i wanna see dodge giver a try

  • 2 big things wrong! the dodge DOES come with a electronic locker!!!!! when you put it in 4wd it automatically locks perminataly, not Limited slip!!!! on this test ford knew they were beat on this test! thats is why they did not show the dodge!!!!

  • @reatard132 it locks in four low, four high not so much

  • @reatard132 there ford lovers. fucking retards. i wouldnt worry about it. this test was complete bullshit. lol and about the electronic locker on the dodge, i thought there was a switch in the truck to activate it even when its on 2WD mode. my friend has a power wagon, and thats what he told me. even better huh

  • @TheUNCC23 possibly the power wagon, because it is meant for off road. so i think that has one that can, but the normal 1500 SLT, i know is a passive so when it slips it semi locks. (Limited slip) but when it is in 4wd (high or low) its locked.

  • @reatard132 Exactly. so ford can Hold My Dick. lol Plus electronics from ford, to my experience, sucks balls so i wouldnt trust an electronic locker in the first place

  • " Electronic locking rear end exclusive to Ford" and you can keep it too just more stuff to break tell me Mr. Ford how much will it cost me to get a new one put in? I'll stick with Dodge or Chevy with there mechanical automatic locker works fine and nothing to go wrong.

  • i think the newest chevys have an auto locker now

  • @bobwatters bro, chevy had a auto locker since before now. ford cant compete.

  • @TheUNCC23 since before now? thats like what 1 second ago what does that even mean?

fords have been on top for a long time and will stay on top if u dont like them o well chevys are pretty nice to.

  • i like the chevy because you dont have to pull a switch or anything for it to work it does it automaticaly

  • @1999z71silverado thats because your a lazy ass.

  • notice how they dont show the dodge ram 1500...

all the trucks were in 4wd. the dodge i have (2010 1500 hemi) has a locker stock. as soon as you put it into 4wd it locks the back. COMPLETELY LOCKS IT! no slippage

  • @reatard132 dodge sucks u stupid bitch

  • The tundra didn't do to bad for NOT having any kind of locker. It only has A-lsd.

  • @joshuaglen91 but it was the most hesitent to get up the ramp

  • That"s awesome......but chevy's have automatic locking diffs!!!! yeah!.....No it's called limited slip and it's been around for a while now Chevys are a disgrace...... But they are there to show how badass ford is because Chevy's are just boat anchors.

  • after so many years ford finally got it lol because chevy always had the power and ford didnt had it till todays new f-150

  • all i see in these's vids are more stuff to go wrong or break

  • So I guess going up a ramp with rollers on it is an everyday thing.

  • Ford's electronic-locking differential is better. I mean, why let your wheels spin like the Chevy's if you don't have to? If you anticiptae it's use, lock it! Chevy's is kind of old school. To let your wheel's spin is really the old way to do it. I'll bet Chevy will eventually offer an electronic locker.

  • Your right I didn't notice the Z71 on the side of the chevy, but still you wouldn't know to look the dif in a real world situation in snow and ice.

  • Ford is using their off road truck, they should take the other off road trucks for comparison. Also did the dodge do better, they didn't show them

  • @therock1126 Chevy Z71 is used which is the equivelant to FX4. Chevys have a mechanical locking diff while the ford has electronic locking.

  • ford copys every thing that chev does then makes it a little bit better then they think that their trucks are way better

  • ford copys every thing that chev does then makes it a little bit better that thinks that their trucks are way better

  • I HAVE TO SAY 2 THINGS FORD TOUGH.

  • what haapen to the dodge? and why does the ford get there offroad truck to basic chevy and tundra trucks?

  • @joshflocco the Chevy was the Z71, which is the equivalent to the FX4

  • yeah sure u owned both. so in the real world when do u know when u will slip? thats how the cpu talk to the tranny WHEN IT SLIPS.

  • I have owned both trucks and have to say that the electroninc locking differential is far, far superior. I really hated that annoying wheel spin before the damn thing would lock on the Chevy. I now own the F-150 with the electronic locker and like it a lot. It really work great and is seamless. Thing is, you really don't use them much under normal driving conditions. I have owned my F-150 about 6 months and used it maybe twice.

  • I rather have an automatic locker than one I have to lock in manually. Remember its electronic....higher repair cost due to electronic sensors ect.

Not sure what the point of this test is....they all got up it without too much problem. Getting up it 5 seconds faster is no big deal

  • thats not a fair competition. look how fast the ford went up it.. faster speed =more momentum=easier to get up the chevy could have destroyed the ford if it was going the same speed. and the driver was way harder on the gas pedal on the toyota and the chevy than the ford

  • what about the dodge dude!!!! o i get it, the dodge would of had NO problem gettin up the ramp, so they didnt test it!!

  • @DodgeRamFan11 You know I love dodge trucks and I am glad you brought that up and I think your right

  • i think they used 2 much tire shine lol

  • yes where is the dodge for one thing and the ford he engage the lock if ur out muddin or samething how do u now u have to engage them of that happen u have stop a engage it like the chevy and dodge ur spining and and it locks in automatically so the ford would be wores then the chevy and dodge

  • where is the dodge?

  • so, the driver of the ford knows the rollers are there and can engage the part early making it look that good. However in a real world situation, a person won't engage it until they know they are slipping. Ford will achieve the same result of chevy if used in real world perspective.

  • That is oh, so true

  • HAyou really think the wife pulling the boat off the ramp knows how to do that! AND chevy was first with the rear Locker

  • That is great and all, but shouldn't be automatic?? basically when you driving down the road and you hit a patch of slippery pavement shouldn't just engage automatically? or you have to engage before hand? so you need some sort of ESP when you are in a slippery situation?

  • Should be quite difficult to believe how the F150 is ahead of the competitors, but based in what i'm experiencing on my F250, It's simply amazing. Great job, Ford!

  • Tundras Suck.

  • FORD..THE ONLY WAY TO GO

  • @808M4K3H808

you have to keep in mind that the driver knew he was going to lose traction. in an icy situation the chevy locks in automatically where as in the ford you have to press a button so the tires are going to spin in both trucks. personally i would rather have it automatic.

  • @hunterdaners13 Well if it's going to be that slippery then you should already have it in 4-wheel drive. I mean, a locking differential isn't much help if it's really slippery. Under normal driving, I'm always aware when I'll need the locking differential, which is rarely. I have owned both and have to say that the electroninc locking rear differential in the F-150 is much better, more advanced.

  • bullshit

  • @XxParabolaxX1 thats what your face is made of.
