I'm so glad to find this video! I thought I was the only one who felt that awkwardness, and blamed it on being a child of the sixties. I actually had a much younger friend teach me at length how to do this stuff, but it just didn't stick. My solution is to be certain I'm the one who initiates the handshake, since the one who starts it can determine which handshake it is to be. So I boldly stick my hand out in the old-fashioned this-is-your-father's-handshak­e handshake.

Ok Here's one of mine. Once I was bragging that I love sour candy, and that no candy is too sour for me. So one of my friends gave me a WarHead, which was new at the time. So I'm sucking on this candy for a second and up walks the guy I like and watches carefully to see if I'll make a face. I was having a hard time because I was starting to drool, and my face turned beet red, much to everyone's delight.
