This one was super intense. The castle was truly dangerous. Not unfairly hard, but super duper hard nonetheless. I jumped everytime you had a close-call or died.

"Ok, I don't need that extra mushroom, so I can... make it so I need that extra mushroom."

Is it just me, or did the text at 9:25 contain all the capital letters from the English version? It's even the same amount of characters in each word before a space.

You see an M, K and J for Morton Koopa Jr., a V and D for Vanilla Dome, P and T for Princess Toadstool...

Was this modded from the US version instead of the Japanese?

Great level and video. I did swear I saw video once where you could pick up the Mecha Koopas in this level and make them shoot that fire laser to destroy enemies. That and I'm a little saddened by the boss battles, I expected really fancy custom ones like the other hacks and games you've played. Guess VIP, Houtai/Kouhai/Black, Super Mario :p :p :p and a few others hacks spoilt me there.

Oh well, I thought this level wasn't that hard for what I've seen of Raocow's skill in this, he just looked to be playing like an idiot like he says. Just a bad day.

I don't know what everyone say about savestates or not but you should just use them in the places where you think "Man, there should really be a mid-point here." because sometimes it almost looks like they forgot to add some. I'm sure they didn't.

In my honest opinion, people who hate savetating are like tourneyfags in SSBB: they have all sorts of tools to make the game easier to play and more enjoyable, but they instead prefer not to use them and make it "fair"... lol, I don't know what the heck I'm saying, but my point is I don't think savestating would be a bad idea anymore.

@ColonelRashid Turning items off can be fun, but the only real reasons I can find for using that option are for tournaments (win by skill not luck) and for practicing (beat three level 9s without items and you can say you're a pro).

As for save states, I generally try not to use them unless I'm really having trouble or the game uses password saves (or has no saves). You'll never see me say it's bad to use them.

The text when you beat the castle is totally screwed up and glitched. It looks like it's the english text from when you beat castle 2 but with the japanese character table.

The second word there is "Ｋほほーた", which is clearly "Koopa" with some of the wrong letters.
