Even though we sympathize with the plight of those who live in structures like this I have a small question. Why don't the residents in such structures fix them up and make them look at least semi-decent. If u watch clips of Dharavi slums in India or the Favelas in Brazil despite them being so called slums many of them are well built and maintained. Why for example would you live with holes in the wall as in the "mogadishu" hse yet all it takes is a few handfuls of mud to patch it up! Swali tu
The place actually looks quite serene. Why is it being referred to as a slum? Looks to me like just a case of old houses rather than the degradation we have in actual slums like Mathare and Kibera.... Nice presenter BTW - me like a lot...
Kenya and Africa as a whole will have its day. That continent will be the one where humanity will rebuild if this civilization collapses.
