  • And if you knew elliott smith youd know he wouldnt be calling other peoples

Music shit nor would he want his fans to be so arrogant...

  • This is Reading! I've been looking for this footage for ages!

  • @Sharpoon he does look pretty cool here lol

  • i really wish that someone would bash conor in front of this 6'2'' 210 lb. army veteran! nuff said!

  • I wish everyone would stop paying so much attention to how he's dressed. Ahh, the materialistic masses!

  • popped collar. like a boss.

  • Conor Oberst - the newest member of Oasis

  • i wish conor oberst came to austraila :(

  • OhGod, I wish I was here!

  • nice song and omg did he snort something at the end...

  • he looks a bit like liam gallagher in the 'go let it out' live performance to me.

    i love this guy.

  • lol he looks like such a rockstar

then again.. i guess he is

  • dude. seriously. its not a big deal. sorry i pointed something out that i noticed on a freakin you tube video. i'll make sure i dont notice things anymore cause i'd hate to hurt a musicians feelings by insinuating that they do drugs even though they talk about doing drugs in their lyrics. let me go & continue to wishfully think about drug usage elsewhere. :rolls eyes:

  • @pondshoprock Regardless of what you say, it's obvious he took a sip of a drink and then wiped his mouth off.

  • am i the only one that noticed it looked like he snorted something off his hand at the very end?

  • @pondshoprock is it not possible he was wiping off sweat, his nose, his mouth, or scratching an itch, or pulling his shirt sleeve? Why does it have to be him snorting something besides your wishful thinking?

  • "somewhere in England" would be the Reading Festival.

I love this song, probably my favourite off the album. I love his little anorak too <3

  • I love this song, it's so heartwrenching. And you gotta love a man who wears sunglasses indoors! Conor is so amazing - at the moment, this song and "Make a Plan to Love Me" by Bright Eyes are my favourites. Such perfect, beautiful music. There's nothing like it.

  • @theRockabillyRhino I bet there are a lot of lights shining on him, probably annoying especially with a hangover or something, haha.

  • @PleaseShakeWell Well whatever the reason, he looks damn fine!

  • @theRockabillyRhino People say I look like him, haha. I don't see it. Check my videos.

  • I feel like such a loser. I wish I was there! I actually felt liking crying watching this. :(

  • i grew up on conor's music. they compare him to dylan and he has probally got a lot of all nighters out of fans but I know he is different than all that. he was the kid i bought tracks off at the record store that he made in his basement he is the guy who talks bs and makes it sound more poetic than whitman and more loveable than hercules. well these days he is as popular as both... eh almost. hehe. I just know the music as a good friend, and a inspiration for my own art.

  • @SamSarcasm23 I just pulled an all nighter last night listening to his CDs and watching live videos! That is so weird that you just said that! haha

  • I am from Omaha. I left after school. I had never heard of this guy until last week. I heard this song once and hated it. I listened again. I listened to four winds, hot knives, milk thistle, first day of my life, lua. I hated them all after the first hearing.

    And then . . . I got it.

This guy is the new Dylan. Except I think he is actually a better writer.

  • @jwf1964 what dylan songs do you like?

  • as nicole 84848 said, this is reading festival - i was also there. there was quite a small audience but he was awesome

  • @hesalumbejack

is he big or bigger in england?? he really writes great music but i dont know if its caught on there..

  • i wouldn't say he's big in england - bright eyes and conor oberst have a substantial fanbase nevertheless. First Day of My Life is recognised but its for the best that he isn't big or mainstream in england as it tends to be ruined/copied by bloody x facctor contestants et al

  • I think he's fairly big in England, 'cause this song was the BBC's number three song of the year I believe.

  • @christsbassist89

you are a faggot. and you believe in christ.

  • @fanboy

you are all over this faggots nutz! and you push creationism on atheists.

someone get this beaver out of here.

+ 1 thumbs up for assumption tho broskey! s(^_~)=b

  • @ignorant fuck

Sadly no, I wish that was true though because unlike your miserable self he is extremely successful and will actually be able to die happy. You however, will remain a douche for life. Then die and even though you hope for an afterlife with your religion, there isn't one my religious little buddy.

  • you're right.

im going to go out and do something instead of defending my youtube heroes who will ultimately have achieved nothing except the companionship of internet knights standing up for their master's golden name - since we all just rot in the ground, that is.

i have a religion, this is news to me . . . i guess i'm a christian cos i have "christ" in my name. whats that make you, "beveah" ? =D

  • Patheticly ignorant just as I thought..Your comment was both extremely well thought out and creative. I did not know that having a favorite musician and standing up for them when some arrogant little kid tries to start an internet fight to get off to made them my master or hero, but then again none of your comments have been intelligent so it was unfair of me to expect you to say anything intelligent . That;s cute to deny your religion because you're embarrassed, i think you're pathetic anyway

  • cool story, bro. <3

  • @christsbassist89 a little homophobic i sense! what a name christbassist and you judge without facts! you must be a rightwing gun toating nutjob. just from your one sentence tells me your a walking oxymoron bitch!!

  • @4lifedcfc

    a little bored i sense!

    who the hell are you?

what a hiatus it has been!

seven months and this song is still awful. just awful.

hey, if you dont agree. that's fine. that's alright. im not stopping you from listening to oberst at his worst. go right ahead. but heres the real test.

how the fuck can you possibly still enjoy this

if someone else on the internet doesnt?

    fanfags who can't deal.

  • @christsbassist89 Hey i like this a lot! Your opinion is shit to me you christ-fucking asshole!

  • @REILLYAssociatedActs

why are you wasting your energy with a shit composer like oberst when you could be using this as valuable elliott smith time?

  • @christsbassist89 well sir, why are you wasting your energy trolling on conor oberst's page when you could be doing something useful like hanging yourself

  • @MilleniumKing13

have you heard his new album?

    its quite good.

    carry on.

  • @REILLYAssociatedActs

why are you wasting your energy with a shit composer like oberst when you could be using this as valuable elliott smith time?

  • @REILLYAssociatedActs

what the fuck are you doing wasting your time with this trash when you could be listening to elliott smith?

have you checked out heatmiser yet?

    get on it kid.

  • @christsbassist89 I like Elliot Smith too. I don't think this is trash sir, I like it too.

  • those aviators are spectacular.
