@FxOxC The alternators will only put out enough amps to supply the amount of amps being used by the truck. If you do not have anything turned on the alternators will only put out enough to keep the battery charged and run the trucks computer. It is sort of like the battery. The battery will only put out the amps that are being drawn.
@freestylemxer7c Hi: The main advantages of dual alternators are redundancy, higher amps at idle and of course higher amp output. Trailer lights don't use much juice but huge sound systems, winches, 120volt inverters, emergency lights and so forth can over burden a single alternator especially at idle.
high amperage wont affect the truck's electrical system?
