  • With the XD you will have to use SHIMS on each side where the slide cuts in or the slide twists. You will never move those sites without shims because Springfield pressed the OEM sights in with something like a 6000psi press. I just did one for a customer with my Uni-200L so I know. I do not want to do anymore of them. Also use a small pipe to crank her with and a few drops of oil in front and on the sight. Move it ever so slowly. Keep the jaws as low as possible without marring or you'll crack

  • this is the smallest pistol tool sight ive ever seen.

  • can be used on the front sight on a modern 1911 . ??????

  • @Juan777fl

    with a dovetail, sure

  • @Juan777fl "One size fits all" simply does not work. Yes, this "tool" will work for an application or three. However, this ChiCom manufactured, stamped steel, plastic knob ,less-than-machine-quality hardware (e.g. bolts) likely would end up in your junk box.

  • @drumsrlrl

you are stupid as you are angry..

this tool is made 100% here in AZ, it has evolved through 7 or more versions over the years to the one you see in this video. It's easy to sit there behind the internet and talk smack.. unlike the guys who invented, developed and now produce this valuable tool that works on almost EVERY pistol out there

  • Does this tool scratch up the slides when you tighten down on them?

  • @YuanMizzle

no, not at all.. wouldn't be much use if it did that right?

  • @GunWebsites

Have you also tried the B&J P500 sight tool? I'm trying to decide which one I should buy. I wish there was a list for compatibility. I need to adjust or put night sights on glocks, kahrs, HKs, Sigs, Walther PPS, and possibly a XDM or M&P.

  • @YuanMizzle

Never used it but it looks like I would prefer the Uni200l

  • Wow, this guy is an idot! i would never treat my pistols like this that! just throwing them around, ripping the slides off, and tossing the parts into piles. he must have too much money and not enough common sense. just my opinion. good review though otherwise!

  • @usmchausam Or maybe hes not a pansey ass lil baby who actually gives a dam about a scratch or nick on his gun. Your the type of douch that would build a classic muscle car and trailer it around.

  • @alajreid257

thanks, we all treat our tools differently.. but I don't keep my hammers or pliers polished, lol

  • @usmchausam Oh i forgot HOOOORAH

  • Comment removed

  • were you ever able to adjust the XD?

  • ouch the price doesn't seem worth it to me isn't there ones that do the same thing but cheaper

  • It would be nice to see the tool actually removing the sights. Also, how well does it work with the front sights? The back sights can be easily hammered out usually with a punch, while the front sights are usually troublesome.

  • @patrickbrcr

Hammered out? well some can, but don't try that on all pistols

  • so how did it do on the xd was it easy or kinda hard to remove the sight..?

  • Hey Thanks I'm going to buy them now. Cool Video

  • I want truglo sights sights on my HK USP .45... Any probs with installing them with this tool? I have a P220 also will it work with it also for truglo sights.

  • @sk8tedoc

I wouldn't think so, but I have not tried that combo with this tool yet

  • the Glock block figure looks easiest to change sight.....:D

  • Great video! I ordered new sights for my carry pistol (G26), along with this tool a couple weeks ago. Seems the tool is selling very well, due to the fact it was back ordered...I've had my new sights (TFO's) for a week already, and the tool won't be coming in till this week. Well, thanks for the video. At least now I know what to expect when I finally receive it.

Now off to the range with factory sights once again, lol.

  • It can be pick up at gunbroker Auction number 157355603

  • where can i get this tool

  • from their website, link in video notes

  • Gun broker Auction number 157355603

  • Excellent video. I have a PARA PRX1445G (1911) with dovetail front. Is there enough space for the front end of the 1911 to fit correctly with the solid recoil spring shroud (or Sig P220). I can see my Glock or HK easily fitting the space.

  • good questions, I'd have to test that out

  • And the front sight?

  • Works on front sights too (assuming they are dovetail)

  • @GunWebsites Nop! combat commander, 70 series, front sight stake-in?

  • Thanks!!! very informative.

  • do you know if this pusher works for the XDm? the sights on the XDm are a pain to remove.

  • I have not yet tried it on an XDm

  • So that's how you got into pistol part puzzle.

  • @IISilverDevil Read the description box "The tool slides the sights from the slide without damage, scratches or marks" it's quite clear.

It's to remove your sights or have them lined up.

  • sights on pistols are held in place on the slide with friction (dovetail slot)

This tool is a press that lets you drift your sights to align them for accuracy

or remove / replace types or brands of sights

  • Great tool . I have a couple of glock tools for different frames . Very cool .

  • MAKROV!!..

  • hmm, there is something familar about that pile of dissembled pistols

  • in order to save the environment, we recycle videos, LOL

  • I'm a novice shooter, I have a kimber custom 2 1911. I bought meprolight night sights for it. Should I take it to a gunsmith or is it a DIY job?

  • I would take it to a gunsmith, not because it's difficult but because the good tools are expensive

If you and some friends go in on a tool, or $150 isn't a big deal, then it is a DIY job, sure

  • Thanks. Keep up the good work.

  • interesting...

Thanks for your job, great, as usual ;)

  • Nice 1911 ^^

  • Nice video, I was able to use trijicon Sig night sights on my XDs

  • gun dominos

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • Once again after watching one of your vids I'm sold. Thats a nice sight tool. 5*

  • First and its very nice
