you guys can do it in a much simple way !

copy and paste your skin in **-cod4rootfolder-**/go into Mods/ModWarfare.

in modwarfare folder delete z_modwarfare.iwd(or iwi) and paste your skin in this folder ( modwarfare ).

and open MakeMod. it will say ( if all correctly done ) : Everything is OK press any button to close. now theres a new z_modwarfare.iwd(or iwi) that just appeared in the folder, copy and paste it to : Main folder PS : YOU CAN RENAME IT TO PUT ANOTHER SKIN

@1337x1337x double check the names of those files. they should be .iwi and make sure you have removed the _out from the file name.

@ThaWoodzii What I recommend for aw07 is copying and pasting an existing .iwd file to your desktop. Rename it to the necessary name. Next, open it and delete its contents. From here, right click inside of it running in WinRAR and make a new folder. name it "images". Now place your textures in here and move to your main folder. If it for some reason will not accept textures in the future, move it to your desktop, place them, then move it back to >main. Hope that helped.

Finally!! got to make it work.. the "Create new archive" didn't work for me so i just copied iw_07.iwd to my desktop and renaed it at "localized_english_aw07.iwd" deleted eveything inside images, and put the custom skins there!

@yassine2bbc common problem. Move _aw07 to your desktop, place the textures in your images folder. Then move _aw07 back into <main.

@teddybait112233 Correct. Steam in itself has difficulties with things like this. For most gamers its a great time saver, yet for others it makes things like this hard. It also validates the files upon opening the game to make sure they are correct. Sooooo working on figuring that out. Hopefully someone can.

@1kryatbyte I've found the easiest method is to right click and copy one of the other existing .iwd files from the /main folder. Paste it to your desktop and rename it. then go into the images folder it contains and remove all the files. then you have a correctly set up .iwd file ready for custom skins.

@heroofgod118 The best way to do what you're doing is to copy and paste an existing .iwd to the desktop. Then rename this to localized_english_aw_07.iwd and do all of that work on the desktop. THEN when you are finished with your images folder and skins, place this back into the main folder. You should never need to rar your main folder.

@ARandomAccount Okay so a lot of people run into this problem. What I have found is that the most simple solution is this: Right click on any of the original .iwd files (01,02,03) and copy it. Paste it to your desktop. Then rename it to localized_english_aw07.iwd. From here, open this and delete all of its contents except for the "images" folder. That should do the trick for ya. Be sure not to Cut and Paste.

Just had to change the skin .iwd files into .iwi. e.g. zzzz_r700.iwd to zzzz_r700.iwi

now place all ur .iwi files in the localized_english_aw_07.iwd. TY for skins anyways

i ve seen 2 problems.

First the iwd one

If u use windows xp, goto tools and then folder options. Goto view then and uncheck hide known extensions....... Then simply remove .zip and type.iwd at the end. this does the first thing.

It didnt work for me when i skipped part 3. the file is named to localized_english_aw_07. Rename it 2 localized_english_aw07. I ll try after doing this. Its the uploaders little fault.;D
