I see that same move happen in a lot of games ranging from High School to NBA, the refs allow it and it's usually not a travel.

Though I'm a UA fan, he traveled. Then again, I have the privilege of seeing the replay and I think the lead official was probably looking for foul--but the center or trail should have caught it.
